When they announced the closure of the official forum, the lack of communication is what people feared would happen.I suppose we`ve always got twitter though.....
Doesn't matter. If they don't want to communicate with their audience, they won't. And that's precisely why the forum closed cos they had been receiving a lot of criticism on their games as of late. I suppose they couldn't handle it and decided to close everything down to save face. More proof that a corporate entity will always primarily remain "corporate". They have a support channel going on, but that's nowhere as effective as the forums were in helping the game improve. I, myself, and many others were regular posters, bringing car audio issues or visual modelling issues, for example, out in the open, and certain things around those aspects did improve. In some cases, the improvements were half-hearted while in others, quite commendable. The forum shutting down is a clear sign that they want to shut down the "voice of the customer" and will do exactly what they had planned all along.

Forza was the undisputed best racing game to own on an Xbox 360. But the generations after that started to see a downfall. Still, I enjoy FM23 and FH6 in limited doses.

Yes, and this time around, they have been working on updating models. I'd be surprised if at the very least it doesn't get new lighting/badge/interior meshes.

Comparing them, the windscreen looks to be updated, as do the lights in the front bumper.

I'd argue that is more likely due to the shared material system that Forza has used since the Xbone era and lighting changes in Horizon 6 vs a model update.

But even if it was, it's not right to have minor changes like badge updates and things you mentioned as a full car pass car.

What next? The updated 575 model we're meant to get is car pass too? It sets a low bar then for them to take advantage of in future which wouldn't bode well for car pass.

I'm also noticing the presence of an additional badge on the grille. But who knows? It might just be a retouched FM4 model, like the RAM SRT-10.

These are the bolt on overfenders and the lip spoilers on the 83 Nissan Skyline Turbo.

The Thunderbird has its Engine bay and trunk modeled but still using its old Car ID number. So i guess it a refreshed model. It also has 3 hood options, 2 drag style hoods and 1 with the supercharger visible.

I'm actually quite excited for the N600. I love my little cars in this game. So much fun in tinkering with them for different races, events and hooning about with.
When I was in high school mumble mumble 45 years ago mumble mumble, a classmate drove a pale yellow N600. One day, the players from our completely worthless football team (they won the first game of my first year in high school, and the last game of my last year in high school, and not a single game in between) picked up the Honda from where he parked it on the street across from the school, and placed it on the sidewalk, so their team captain could park his Camaro in its place.

I mean i don’t get why they removed some cars that were in both games the 2017-2020 Porsceh Panamera turbo and 2018-2020 Bmw M5 F90 Pre Facelift and also the Standard 2011-2013 Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera

Licensing (other than a very daft deal) rarely persists in perpetuity. If they weren't able to re-up a licence for the full lifetime of the game, it would no longer appear.

There's also the matter of design choices, although it doesn't appear they're all that choosy.

This is what upgrade fodder updates like this one are for, yeah. I'm sure there's a mean rally car in the N600, but honestly, I feel like the introduction of Eclectic Domestics as a category (and a very well-used category at that!) encourages it to stay a D-class car no matter what.

...Frankly I'm more surprised they didn't commit to it and make the entire Series upgrade-focused. I'm sure there's one coming, but upgrade fodder updates deserve an upgrade-focused playlist, no?

Neither cars show up as options, I just tried.
For the Horizon Promo photos for the Trolli Peel and Fanta Toyota try "Play Challenges" rather than "Play Event" in EventLab. My experience is Events only allow cars you own, but Challenges allow you to play (and photograph) ones you don't.

I've tried these two challenges just now. I own the Toyota but not the Peel, but was able to finally get a photo of the Peel (and drive it, for those who are interested in that sort of thing...)

Trolli Peel: 916 795 478
Fanta Toyota: 149 844 826

Should note that in Bugatti's case, there was a change in ownership. The VW Group sold their shares and now the brand is co-owned by Rimac & HOF Capital. I believe they were originally supposed to be featured, but the sale threw a wrench into that, not to mention it happened like a couple of weeks before the game launched.

Even something like that can result in content being removed.

Alpine is the mysterious one, but I fully suspect there'll be a French Automotive series in the future that adds it right back in along with Bugatti. Gotta have some backlog for a 40 point car update, after all! :P

Maybe there be added on a German season hopefully

It happened to me after the update. Before that, I had traveled all the roads (671) and today I see that I am missing one road in each of the three regions. I had to find 🧐 them on the map again. 🛣️

It came out at least 6 years before the Muscle Car era even began... in theory it should be in Classic Sports Cars with the C1 Corvette because it was its main competition in period, but in reality it was a softly sprung cruiser that couldn't match the Vette once GM put the V8 in it, so Rods and Custom fits perfectly I think.
Yeeeeeeeah, you raise a good point. At least in Rods and Customs it has fair competition, even if that category rarely gets used.

I watched the video, and even though I disagree with Nick glazing the inclusion of the 2024 Camaro ZL1 (it's a bit of a pointless addition, I feel), I do agree with him that the Car Pass should consist of only new-to-Forza cars. The Ford Thunderbird and the Porsche 961 should either have been added directly to the Autoshow or be Festival Playlist unlockable cars.
I see your point, but I also take somewhat of the opposite stance here. Since Forza's been making a commitment to remodeling and touching up their old models to modern standards, expanding the Car Pass to New-to-Horizon cars as well as New-to-Forza makes at least a small amount of sense, especially when you factor in the Thunderbird I reckon.

Good update for Event Lab and garage detailing. Good variety of barriers and flags etc for creating circuits, still a bit bizarre they haven’t added any in universe branded ones though, the ones you seen in the game events
This is a great point as well, we haven't really had an EventLab-oriented update all game, to put it bluntly. Those are usually the sort of updates that do have kinda mid cars, going by FH5's latter years. British Automotive will probably be our first big car drop, and likely the first real 40 point car week update--I'll probably slap a quick kneejerk prediction together soon.

I don't know why but I'm just not really feeling the update's car selection this time around. Charging for two vehicles that were already in previous games doesn't really sit right with me. Especially given the T-bird is merely a refresh and not a complete rescan. The other car pass cars this month are great choices though, I'll say that. Many of the playlist cars being returning ones bothers me but I guess it'll just be a situation like FH5's earlier post-launch was where we got a lot of returning cars each month.

I wouldn't mind more FM4 returning cars, just don't charge for them. They stuck the SRT10 in the playlist just fine, so it's kind of baffling the Ford wasn't the same way... Oh well, maybe next month will have some things I'm more interested in.

I've also been dropped to 99% of roads in every region. There's little tiny grey flecks everywhere

Edit: Posted mine in the Missing Roads thread.

I certainly wouldn't call it upgrade fodder bud, that's a bit harsh.

Remember, one man's treasure is another man's junk. The Devs are catering to all players and I think that's good.

Honestly, if they don't bring Seasonal EventLab back to the Playlist this Series then I'll be extra baffled as to why they added so many EventLab props--though it's not listed in the patch notes so frankly I think they're done with it.

I will be very surprised if they ever introduce new-to-Forza cars as forty point rewards. But if they ever do, then reprising them as lesser rewards in subsequent playlists may help to alleviate the pain and frustration such a move would likely cause.

Other things I noticed about the Minamino region. My Points of interest found is now at 12/15. I discovered 12 points of interest, but where are the others? 👀

I have a feeling one of the future series will be all about wagons, since all wagons they had in Horizon 5 have disappeared. As for Bugatti, I really hope if they add them back, they add them to the autoshow.

Yeah, I think so too.
RS2, 850T5R, CTS-V Wagon, the E55, there's a lot of wagons msising from FH5, and It might be a good reason to add some others too, for example Legacy, Levorg, Caldina, Legnum, Accord Aerodeck...
