I'm also an old man and am not in the elite racers league but @PJTierney may have given me the push I needed to drop assists for good (or at least STM and TCS). Top 100 or top 1% (whichever is easier) is more than good enough for me for now.
You’ll go even faster when you learn Manual (clutch not needed but nice to have too).

To reuse my favourite Forza Link, ‘Yoink!’

And just to drive home the point, the car I used is fully eligible for next weeks Casual Racing Mondays event, D Class Rods & Customs. 😉👍
You ran one of the 1500bhp versions didn’t you.

I tried those and they are fast but I feel in a race scenario they’d be less reliable.

Also it literally can’t climb the hills on some CC routes as it has no traction 😅

On the contrary, the ‘32 Ford Coupe I used only has the Chevy 6.2 and the Shelby GT350R’s 5.2 V8’s as swap options and the Ford Motor is good for 1070+hp. 👍

The Chevy V8 I used only had the Racing Flywheel on it so it’s making the stock 455hp, primarily to make it more reliable in a race scenario. 😉

One question to the faster ones around here: What steering are you using?

So far i've used simulation, but is that recommended when you want to drive fast? I also switched of TC (still getting used to that) and went to manual gearbox, which is kind of a no-brainer with my GT history.

Using the PS5 Controller if that makes a difference

I'm not a fast player (only in the top 50 to 100 range) but I also switched to using sim steering after watching this video. It's worked out pretty well for me so far, especially on big heavy trucks which are harder to turn.

I use the racing line but on corners only and ignore it if I can find a faster line.

NB drifting and dragging are not my thing. I usually download grip tunes and race or play Rivals time trials. I don't tap steer and prefer to feather the brake and accelerator instead of jamming them down as if they were on/off switches as I'm sure this helps. But there was virtually no learning curve to switching over for me.

Can I join the Kita Ine party?
AWD+ (almost) maxed out stock engine+full aero
Current time set with turbo and stock width front tires. With centri charger you can upgrade front tires.
Overall should do low 39. Will share tune if I'll drop it into 38s

EDIT: or was I suppose to leave it as RWD?

Just got Summer all wrapped up. Not gonna lie, this... worries me a bit. Next week's Photo Challenge preview having the N600 in the background implies we'll be required to unlock the N600 to complete the photo challenge, something that hasn't been done since Donut Media Part 1, when the Ford Wagon was required to complete the PR Stunts one week (though that car was available the same week).

At least that was done because 'lmao isn't Donut Media so quirky', and at least it was just a Season reward car so it wasn't much of a hassle getting it if you were only going for 20 points a Season. The N600 being a Series Reward means if you haven't been keeping up with the full Playlist, you might have trouble completing the Photo Challenge.

Bloody Nora, I’m on here too 🤔

Any tune recommendations? Pretty please
Considering my knowledge of tuning a car is up there with Astrophysics I just picked the most popular one in the 400 class🤓 can’t remember the dudes name unfortunately but I think it was the first one at 400 in the list

Got it down to 2:38.798 with automatic gearbox, so now tune is shared. Name: Kita Ine, SC: 145 692 213
Nothing special in this tune. Basically untouched rally susp settings. Car is capable to shave a bit more, but... Can't really tell how big part of that time is set thanks to the tune and how much due to using "extended lines" + objects to slow down 🤷‍♂️

Mine’s now doing the bug after a crash doing vinyl groups that I can’t get past the title screen. Game is unplayable. 🥲

Does it come apart? Would it then be "Dango Un chainedstacked"?

Restart console and see if that fixes it.
If this doesn't work delete the larger of the two files in saved data for the game. Please make sure to select "Delete for me" and not "Delete everywhere" otherwise you'll lose all your game progress. Next time you start it should sync your game from the cloud and everything should be tickety-boo.

Assuming you are on console.
