The release of Forza Horizon 6 is nigh: isn't it time to open a thread for those who want to discuss the fine art of livery making? Feel free to showcase your amazing (or mediocre! This is a judgment free zone!) works - in a couple hours, that is.

Unfortunately, the Castrol Celica I had teased in the Countdown Thread will be stuck in Forza Motorsport for a while still. Thank the Maker for Abarths, then! Two historic 131 Mirafiori made their way to Japan from Mexico. Now with windshield banners!

The GMC Jimmy is humongous, loud, and very much out of place as a starter car. And the one we have in game has this insane Baja-ready suspension setup: so, of course, I had to put some shapes on it.

Had to redo from scratch the STP logo for this one. Thankfully, everything else was done in FH5...

Trying to make the Intercooler Turbo decal from the side of the Montero ( 🙄 ) and was told I has specified an inappropriate phrase. Seriously Microsoft, your censorship policy is beyond a joke. I'm scratching my head wondering what convolution of letters in that phrase would trigger the AI censor.

It wouldn't be so bad if they allowed you to easily copy and paste a single letter and it retained the formatting you'd applied when replacing the layer, but it doesn't do that anymore, it tells you that to select a new letter, it has to go back to the default scale and skew. I appreciate the fonts being grouped, but they've made it way harder to create text.

EDIT: it's the word Turbo. My goodness, what on Earth is this nonsense?!

Yes. In fact, Forza's had shareable liveries long before Gran Turismo allowed you to repaint cars.

Apparently in some part of the world "turbo" is slang for a combination of crack cocaine and marijuana? Of course, why else would you use that word in a car game... Right? 🤷‍♂️

I had a similar issue when doing my license plate the first time round, I tried to do my initials and the number 86 'AB 86' and it wouldn't let me. Changed it to 89 to match my birth year and it accepted it. So 86 is apparently censored as well for some reason.

Got "6R4" censored, yet the actual livery names are fine. Also, with the new font system in the livery editor, in which you first select the front and then write what you want...it's also filtered before you even apply the letters on the car, let alone sharing it. I just needed a literal "E". Banned. "Example" was fine though...that's a broken filter if I've ever seen one.
