I also forgot the 787B was in the game...wow. I didn't knew it comes with...that livery either. I have checked some of the most downloaded 'correct' liveries (Renown of course) and none hit the bar high enough for my tastes so...I'll be working on it starting today. I'll share it as soon as it's done.

Work In Progress...currently trying to fight off the good old UV Mapping issue with curved surfaces in Forza, hence the yellow templates. Decals there will be pre-distorted so it cancels out the one from the car.

I've most definitely got the spark for livery and logo creation again. This one is very much a WIP because of the stripes and layer oddities (I do think GT7's depth slider would be a big QoL update here) but very pleased with the germ of the idea.

Sadly I ran out of layers before I could add the Le Mans stickers on top...didn't want to sacrifice detail in other areas, so at least logos and decals should look as crisp as possible. Also, dealing with good ol' cenital projection issues with the decals in the silver diamond was challenging, not much room for improvement I'm afraid...

Top stuff, as usual. Is there any plan to also bring the #56 car to the game, to the same standards? I've seen a couple replicas, but let's just say that word is doing a lot of work for them.


Anyhow, this week's Festival Playlist puts us behind the wheel of S1 900 Rally Monsters, a category that includes... Well, half of the game's Group B legends, with the others dumped into the Retro Rally division. Whatever: this is just a long-winded way to say I got the urge to paint some 1980s box-flared, turbocharged death traps.
Three new liveries, and one (the Renault 5) that was released all the way back in Forza Horizon 2: that's, what, twelve years ago? It was sitting there, collecting virtual dust, until I decided to port it, refresh it and toss it in the mix. Does that make it a Barn Find?

Well...it wasn't on my radar, I'll admit I just forgot about it, but...might do it, it's way easier than #55 for sure.

OK, I want to know which bright spark coded the copy/paste function to be a toggle, instead of a once time button press, and punch them on the nose.

I've lost several pieces now, because in previous games you'd click in the left stick to copy, but paste didn't change its function. Now it defaults to insert and removes the next layer above, without adding it to the clipboard 🤬

Edit: I took my annoyance at losing a relatively minor logo piece by taking on a much more interesting example - Flat 4, the Japanese air cooled specialist shop.

I have shared the yellow oval Flat 4 logo on the game. Next time I'm on, I can get the sharecode.

Just like the #55 it was hard to find accurate references...since they don't really exist. Every pic you check of the car, including real life ones, has changes one way or the other...but I'm happy with the result of course. I didn't even knew it was a 'recycled' 1990 787 until much later.

Time to put an end to the streak of rally liveries. However, we'll stay away from the black stuff for now, trading gravel for mud. I've had this paint scheme in mind since noticing the Land Cruiser 250 has ARB parts... Now I finally spent a couple of minutes putting it together.

Being Australian its neat seeing ARB accessories in game, your liveries genuinely look like what I'd see on an ARB trade or sales vehicle on the road here in Melbourne haha
