link please?Second question in the Q&A on today's stream.
This only lists 13 of the 20 locations promised in the game, so presumably 2 announcements per months until launch? They've published "initial" car and track lists...

... but neither is a final initial list 🧐
I made a front-page post for the stream a couple of hours back. Just click the big "GTPlanet" logo, or News.link please?
i'm not against it depending on the implementation
I know it's only an initial list, but the lack of Stellantis Italian brands (other than Maserati) is worrying.I hope I can stop being mad at Stellantis at some point soon.
It didn’t really look linear, there were many of these events unlocked at the same timeI'm not keen on how linear the Builders Cup looks. One of the biggest problems of FM5-7 I see discussed (and agree with) is how linear the career mode was, and they don't seem to have learnt anything from that with the Builders Cup.
It seems similar to GRID 2019 in event structure, which is certainly not good as everyone hated that.
Remain optimistic about the physics though, I still want to see more in action rather than just taking their word for it. The fact cars are more drivable is huge though because FM7 was very much "Realism is when car spin!" - so a step towards them actually behaving like cars is great to hear.
There's also cross-play. I want my saved game updated to internet immediately so I can switch between PC and Xbox at will.I think saving offline is a lost battle now, apparently there are ways to hack any game now so as much as it sucks it's probably a necessary evil to have only online saves. Hopefully it won't prevent AFKing car leveling via turning all of the auto driving assets on.
Where? They're all locked but what's next, and you consistently unlock the next event by finishing the previous one.It didn’t really look linear, there were many of these events unlocked at the same time
I've been trying to get into more hardcore sims in the two years since I finally shelled out for a wheel that works (not counting a bummer experience with a malfunctioning secondhand entry-level Fanatec with a sticky pedal set), and it's weird how Assetto Corsa is the only one I've found that doesn't do the "realism = oversteer" thing out of the box. Meanwhile I've tried to pick up successors like Assetto Corsa Competizione and Automobilista 2 and found out that for all their hype when it comes to Realism and Physics they're an absolute nightmare to drive for my underexperienced non-direct-drive-wheel-using self. Apparently I'd need to spend hours just doing practice laps and granular tuning just to be able to do a single lap in a Ginetta GT4 without understeering myself into the dirt or a vintage Mini Cooper without spinning out after hitting the gas 5% too heavily. At this point I'm starting to think "simcade" is just a euphemism for "too accessible to normal people".Remain optimistic about the physics though, I still want to see more in action rather than just taking their word for it. The fact cars are more drivable is huge though because FM7 was very much "Realism is when car spin!" - so a step towards them actually behaving like cars is great to hear.
I just came to say that it seems like they took a lot of inspiration from the latest GT game, as the cars were looking very similar to the cars in GT, including the lighting. Was hoping for the promised 'photorealistic' that looked great in early trailers, but now the gameplay isn't close to realism. Cars appear cartoony compared to GT7 (replays) or Rennsport which come close to photorealistic.
My bad,i get it now. When you go to the purchase screen it does say if you use your microsoft account balance to pay for it then its taken immediately.Have a look, before you go to pay theres some text explaining it. 👍I wanted it to be taken out right away but it's all good
Leveling is the same for every car, no matter the type, and takes 3-4 hours to max each one (as per the stream).
Until they post 4k+HDR videos on YouTube, we can only guess. Watching the 4k YouTube feed which was only SDR looked overblown at times, and suffering compression artifacts in places. Was hoping for the promised 'photorealistic' that looked great in early trailers, but now the gameplay isn't close to realism. Saying he'd put Forza up there with the best sims around is definitely a bold claim.
Let's talk about the real issue with this whole gameplay thing.
It's called "Builders Cup".
WHERE'S THE BASTARD APOSTROPHE?
