Round Four will be held at Sunset Peninsula, anything much over the white lines is out on this track so watch your lines through the infield.

Free Race/Hot Laps
Circuit: Sunset Peninsula Full Circuit
Cars: PI 600 or lower (A Class)
Assists: Anything goes personal preference.
Transmission: Again personal preference.
Rules: The cars will be run with a P.I. of 600.
Anything which invalidates your lap (exclamation mark next to time) is not allowed.
Tuning is allowed where the cars allow, you may discuss and share setups and setup tips.

Do not discuss laptimes, you may discuss your split times but not laptimes.

PM me your best time, you have until 11:59 PM MST (-7 GMT) on the 11th of January to do this. I will accept only one laptime to save my inbox from confusion of having more than one time from people. If you could also state in your final PM if you are using a pad or a wheel.

Oh boy. Can I at least make a request to ban anyone from using the typical Audis and such? Or no?

If you won week three then yes I find it fair to ban you from using an Audi. You beat me I'm sure of it.

The rest of us can use them. :D

Maybe a Murcielago then. I'll have to try all of my current A cars...The quickest ought to be the Evo 9, possibly the Shelby but I doubt it.

What might be a cool evolution on the setup and would likely help avoid peeps simply using LB cars would be to adjust the rules to pick any stock D (or maybe C) class car and modify to PI600. Just a thought.

Edit....
Welp just tried out my buddies 722hp Viper and was able to shave nearly 1.5 secs off my prior fast time (set in a 997 RS AWD). So although quite heavy it is surprisingly quick in the corners. Naturally its straight line speed is fairly ridiculous.

I failed to mention that I would like to see what cars people are planning on running and obviously you need to provide what car you used in the final submission at the least.

Mine's a secret until I know its fast enough.

Welp top LB is around 1'26-1'27 so if you're quicker than that it'll definitely be quite the surprise secret ;)

For me obviously I'm pretty pleased with my Vipp-er time for the moment but I'll probably see if I can better it with my LP640. May try to make a run in something else as well... but we'll see.

Tried out two cars yesterday, but not happy yet.

So still going to look into some other cars and setups.
According to LB I'm to far off, I guess I need to look into it abit more.

man, im gonna have to jump into this w/ both feet this weekend. havent touched the game this week. rock bands been takin up too much of my time

well since i cant upload pics until T10 figures out whats wrong w/ their servers, I decided to put a little time (and money) into this. got a car i think im gonna use....definitely wont be the fastest...but if i can get it dialed it in right, should at least put up a competitive time. so far im actually surprised its as fast as it is. i'll put some more time into it and see what I can pull out

So the third number in my time is a 1...Driving a Honda. Just an FYI...

Edit: Make that a zero.....

I'm afraid you're all going to hate me tomorrow. Nine.

And I'm most likely done hot lapping. Here's my weapon.

Click for full size.

I'll post a mod list after the results are posted. For now you can know its doing 475hp/322tq, weighing around 2800lbs I think. Widest tires available in sport compound (check the pictures), in 19/20" rim sizes (though pictured with only 19s - along with that change it has also been repainted pearl white). Full RouteKS aero with a Forza wing. Wheels are Momo Ten-S.

This setup will most definitely be for sale.

Edit: And unfortunately while I was hotlapping I got disconnected from XBL. When I quit the race I logged back in, but apparently it only attempts to update the leaderboard immediately when you quit the race. So, to remove any doubt I'll try again for that time later. Otherwise if anyone cares for proof it should be stored locally somewhere I think and I can grab a picture of it. The real time would've placed at #550. The current best the server has for me is #726.

Actually saw this time last night when I was lapping a little before bed, gotta admit that's a very impressive time for a non-AWD car 👍. My best Vipp'r time does have a 9 in it, like your new best, but now I feel wrong submitting it. I've gone back and run some more laps in by GT40 and RWD 997RS but naturally I'm having MUCH difficulty trying to hang with the Dodge once I get onto the back stretch, by difficulty I mean in ain't happenin' ;). And it is AMAZING how F3 allows this 3,905 lb  AWD car to corner so dang well.

If you can beat me, go ahead and use the Viper. You're not gonna bother me any.

And I'm done. No improvement, besides a few hundredths quicker on my leaderboard-verified time. I've had enough rewinding to re-do turn 1 for about a year I think.

Agreed it's no big deal, however in all honesty you earned your fast time more than I did. I literally hopped in my buddies Viper build, ran maybe 8 laps and was fortunate enough to have a fairly good hot lap in that brief session. I assume your work on the NSX (which given the physics engine is significantly handicapped vs the AWD Viper) was a wee bit more involved, so IMHO you deserve the position more. Again it's just a simple competition but it is also just how I look at things.

I think anyone who uses AWD should get a 2 second penalty. :D

Funny enough that's almost exactly how much slower I've been in my fastest RWD time

13 hours left to submit.

It's slow but I'm sticking with my GT3 RS, surprisingly its faster than at 599 than my 600 GT2 around this track, but the GT2 pushes so hard through every corner its slightly ridiculous.

The NSX surprised the hell out of me with it's handling, while still being able to jump a rumble strip when needed (the left onto the longish straight before hitting the oval).

I'm still cycling through options, I'll post a time before the deadline though.

Finally put together a time I'm happy with in the 997 GT3 RS (RWD version ;)). The time didn't approach having a number 9 in it mind you but I did manage one with a 0... and I'll gladly take it.
