FP_FRS Week 7: Culture Shock

Finally I decided on a RWD setup. My tune is also getting faster, but I kind of suspect it's just "less bad" than before :rolleyes:

Is the time submission link working? I hope I can submit my time tonight, if not hoefully I'll have some time before the deadline tomorrow.
 
So here's the dilemma:

I can't even access the files I have on my hard drive to even attempt a fix, so in the meantime, until Jerome catches wind of this just send all submissions my way.
 
I just want to point out that I'm really dissappointed in this vehicle. It's fast but handles like a tank. Plows through corners and understeers like mad. I switched to RWD (my least favourite setup) and unless I have TCS on, I cannot control it. So needless to say, switching to RWD, adding TCS, race tyres, weight reduction, race suspension and Forza aero, I have cut 2 seconds off. Now if I can just turn right to get another half to one more second off.

Exactly how I felt, and exactly what I did lol. Im pretty sure it handles better in real life, I would hope! Thanks for the link jump_ace!
 
2:04.817 - final answer for me this week, time to move on to other tasks...

I put that time down yesterday, and spent today trying to loosen up the car. Finally decided that today was the right time to switch from "normal" to "simulation" steering in a further attempt to fight this car's understeer... I could tell it will make me faster in the long run (better turn-in, maybe?), but sim steering made this beast even more of a handful! Needless to say: in this case, TCS was required!

Just so everyone is aware, the FRS Leaderboard and Weekly Submission links are down again 00:30 uk time. Not sure if this will be a problem for some of us again.

The direct link that JUMP_ACE gave us IS working though as I have just submitted my final time.

Submitted my time. Gonna be a slow laptime compared to others but this car is just awful lol and i can't get the hang of it, AWD or RWD.
 
Atspace is now online again. 👍 Lets hope it stays that way. :)
 
Bah, my weekend in NYC wore me out and I have yet to fool with this again. I'm sure I can get some laps in tonight but I think I will be better off with next weeks challenge.
 
Finally I'm on a lap that could mean podium and I just butcher the last chicane. It's still my best time. :yuck: Have to call it quits for this week.
