FP_FRS Week 8: Like The Wind

I'm really struggling with this one, I haven't took note of where to brake and instead just brake when it feels right which is probably my problem. T12s tune is really good and is a lot easier to drive than when I attempted to tune the car and made it slower. I've been driving really bad recently and I just don't have the kind of confidence I had in other weeks so I'll probably be quite a bit off the pace this week.
 
I'm used to the much lower classes where you can brake by instinct a lot easier. With these R class cars you have a lot more grip and the cars are more sensitive so you really have to find a definite braking point which for some of these corners is quite hard.
 
Some laps without playing in the tune shop. 1:47.368 Of course with this vehicle being high BHP, I need TCS. I'm looking forward to a D-class race. :indifferent:

Can't tune at all but thought i'll give it a go and tinkered around some settings.

Mainly downforce and gearing, managed 1.45.127 but that lap was much better when i was using T12's tune so i'll keeping tinkering and testing, but that VICGT1970's time is so good that at least i need a miracle to beat that
 
Finally managed the 1:45s using T12's setup, I thought that it would be like other cars where I can only use about 60-70% of braking before locking up but it looks like you've lowered the braking intensity? With your tune I can go about 90% without locking up.

1:45.533 is my time for tonight, I don't think I'll get anywhere near VICGT1970 or Beermachine in this event.

Never say never all it takes is 1 lap I always find that there is 1 or 2 times a
week when you get in a groove and everything goes right and you get a time you did't think you could do

Thanks and well done on your win last week. You're right, I usually get into a groove one day during the week and then leave that as my time for the week so hopefully I can at least get into the 1:44s this week.

I'm slowly learning a bit about tuning through my Veloster which I'm actually trying to drift by just seeing what each option does and how it affects the car but I've noted a few things which I could probably use for circuit racing.
 
Moved the suspension sliders around closer to even F to R and added some mid-range speed by lowering the Final Drive ratio and got lap time down to 1:47.872 on 4th lap
 
Just submitted my final time. This week was a blast. 👍 See ya'll in the results. :)
 
I turned a lap in practice about half a second quicker than I have so far been able to run in Hot lap and the knowledge is killing me. Also I am convinced my Ghost is mocking me sometimes.
 
I just got crazy fast last night and the only thing I did to the car was change the final drive a little towards acceleration, added a little front downforce to cornering and mainly fulfilled my gears to redline. I was going on sound when I realized I was changing gears right under 8000 RPMs. :boggled: What was I thinking. LOL.

Of course with the aid of TCS because I cannot handle high powered RWD vehicles, time now 1:45.878.
 
Thanks for the tune T-12, knocked a sec off my best and much easier to drive fast. A bit strange, my first tune felt great ... guess that says something about my "feel". Still way off the times, appx 1:51. Running no aides/wheel.
 
1:44.583, decided T12s first tune was too easy to drive and attempted to tune the car myself. I think I'm running full downforce and I'm hitting the rev limiter in 6th at the end of the main straight, I've made several mistakes on this lap but I can't seem to put together a full good lap. Using no aids is quite easy on this car compared to others but I might try and see what I can do with TCS on later.
 
Made my set of laps yesterday before checking the T-12 Tuning Shop, D'oh. Got the time down to 1:47.205 but plan to get some more time in today. Track and Car combo feels even better now that I know where F1 is racing next weekend. I remember a set like this at Monza on GT5 WRS right before that F1 race and it is cool to watch after driving in the Video game.
 
T-12: I tried out your second and third tunes this morning, and I was impressed that you were able to correct *both* of my complaints on the second tune! I felt like they were both slower than your first tune, though, and went back to that to set what will be my final lap time: *just* under 1:47 :)

Thanks for the tunes! Now we can all race for second behind bleurabbit!
 
Submitted my time today because tuning events just get frustrating for me and I'm having too much fun with the community bounty hunter event. I'm not sure if I'll take part in future tuning events because of the frustration but I'll always be there for the stock events.

Redline at 6th on the main straight? Man I probably could've gotten some more acceleration out of my car if I messed with the gears...If im not mistaken I was only getting up to the end of 5th in my car, then again I was using stock gears
 
Time submitted, didn't have much time to run this one so I just put in a quick 4 lap time attack and went with my best time.

I haven't hit it on the lap I submitted because I forgot to save the replay for my lap which was slightly faster, I just messed with the final drive which made the car a bit harder to drive in the lower gears but was good once I got to 4th gear. The stock gears aren't too bad, they're longer so you won't struggle with traction as much and you won't lose so much time from changing gear so often.
 
Yikes, I waited too long to do this. My wife got back in town after 3 weeks so I've been hard pressed for race time.

I did get some good c class racing with VICGT the other day however.

6 quick laps got me a 1:49.572 with just minor tire pressure adjustments.

I know I can improve more. The Car is fun but this is probably one of the rare times I drive anything above S. The ability for this car to hold it's ground while accelerating out of the corners is phenomenal.

I hope to return from work tonight to record a better time but I highly doubt I can match the 1:45ish times I have been seeing.

Tried the new tune and improved my time by a half second or so. I can't seem to consistently get a good handle on the power into turns, I either press it and go straight through or lighten up and watch my ghost fly past me. Best I could manage is a 1:48.264. Posted it.
 
I'm such a tard, I didn't realize that I had until tonight to submit. When i checked the clock last night it was after midnight and saw that it was the 7th so I thought it was the last day haha.

Unreal. Anyway, game 5 Rangers v. Caps tonight!!
 
Time submitted. Will be to busy listening to the game tonight. I can't watch it (stupid south doesn't know what hockey is) so I'll be listening to it stream online.
