ASM... I can't race with it on... Like.. I go slower..

TCS at like... 1 I can understand on very powerful cars...

But as DR says, its better to learn with out... I find myself using cars without it again and better developing my throttle control...

TCS at 1 or 2 can help keep a very powerful car more toned down BUT you do not need it. If I can drift with a R34 with over 1000 HP on Sims with no ASM or TCS, I think anyone can. I'm not that great so I think anyone can do it with practice.

Looks like my bro don't follow that rule. ASM, TCS on and normal tires lol

im finding asm a hassle so thats off now, on some tcs is on 1 cos im using powerful things, iv changed cars now, im finding myself favouring european fr cars, vanquish, v8 vantage, tuscan speed 6, is it wise to use em fully tuned? i mean its around 800bhp but i am able to control em pretty good

a lot of people don't use fully tuned cars....I do. I practice until I can handle them cause I can't stand poking down the strait aways.

I use to be drifting like that until some people showed me and I lost a battle using those high HP cars and TCS and ASM on

Well I don't actually know what ASM is but I sure as hell know I can't drift with it on. I just know TCS retards the engines power so the wheels can gain traction which I don't like. You try to drift and forgot to turn it off. Hit the turn almost halfway in you slow down and go straight forward right into the wall.

ASM = Advanced Stability Management or Automatic Stability Management....something like that.

It's yet another tool that tries to keep all 4 tires in good contact with the road.

ASM is a stablity management system. It manipulates the brakes independently, along with gas, to prevent the car from slipping and going sideways. Probably in more sdvanced systems, it also gives power to certain wheels, depending on the situation. The net result is understeer and a much slower pace generally, unless you are using perfect grip racing.
