Bwhahahah, soo good! For some stupid reason us englanders for once got something before you yanks!!! ATM i am listening to Francis The Mute, and I've already came in my pants about..........2 times...........wait make that 3!!!
It's a fantastic album, it's just........words are hard to descrribe it. The Mars Volta have progressed their sound but they haven't diluted it one bit! I don't think there's a single track on there that's under 10 minutes long, and it's constantly differnt and changing. You just don't know what to expect next. Though it hasn't got the recognisable classic of Deloused in the comatorium, it's still for me gonna be one of the best albums of the year, and I'm gonna run it down into the ground!
Can't wait to see them live in March............which also when the album is released I do believe.
Though you still get GT4 before us :grumpy: .

I absolutely love this album, I'm even going to go as far as to say that I liked it better than De-Loused in the Comatorium. I love how all six of the tracks all just merge together. And there's the epic 35 minute song at the end, it's a masterpiece.

My favorite track on the album is definitely L'Via L'Viaquez. The spanish singing is beautiful, and there's that eerie music in the middle of it that sounds like a bunch of clocks, and of course there's an awesome guitar solo in it. This song is amazing.

The Widow is definitely the "single" track that they're going to play on MTV and the radio, but that's fine because it's a solid song, and it's really catchy. I've seen the music video a few times too on MTVU and it's pretty sweet.

This album kicks major amounts of ass though, I can't wait for TMV to come to the US again.

The cd has to sound awsome, because the rips on the web sounded ok and people said those rips sucked. I can't wait for march...

Yeah, i've had the album (well err yeah) for a while now. And damn it's great, is it out yet in the UK? If it is i'll pick it up tommorow.

The first time I heard that track I was driving home from work in torrential rain, it was totally awesome. And I wasn't expecting that guitar solo from hearing their previous work but I was so impressed.

Both albums display wonderful music talent and unique sound. I love the spanish brass influence included in Frances The Mute. and is truely a genre in itself. Overall in comparing their 2 albums (De-loused in the Comatorium and Frances the mute) Are almost damn equal. Everything on this album is pure genius. I can't even put it down.

Though they play "The Widow" on the radio all the time, it's ok. Because it's about time theres some good music.

9/10

I like the album... but *sigh*..... couldn't they cut out some of the static sounds they put between tracks?? 5 minutes of static sound doesn't really do anything to me besides annoying the hell out of me.

Hmm I seem to only enjoy one song of theirs. "The Widow" great song but everything else jsut doesn't appeal to me.

That's alright. It won't appeal to everyone, there's too much going on in the songs, and too little between songs.
