Here at gtp we don't condone giving other crap because they are uninformed thats just plain mean and unfair. Gtp was created for the love of every game in the Gran Turismo series. Jordan has gave us a great place to communicate with other gt players around the world. That is a great thing it allows us to help other / get help with tuning and setting up cars and showcase or racing skills whatever they may be. If someone posts something asking a silly question diect them to the stickies don't bad mouth them..

Now to Filude go to used car lot 1 buy a s14 or s15 silvia throw some n1's on it and maybe a 2 way lsd and turn off your driving aids .... there is a good start ... And as for the wheel u can go into options and change the force feedback and steering settings such as active steering and power assist you can also change the force feed back strength on the wheel in-game by pushing select R3 and left paddle I beleive .. I hope I have helped you :)

OK everyone on here should have gave this person %^&( from the start you bought a dfp for drifting omg what a waste of money and i have one but its not for drifting (altho i do use it for that from time to time its more fun to use the ps2 controler less thinking and you dont have to fork out cash on something you already should have unlike the dfp altho it is a great buy for gt4)dfp is for making the gameplay more life-like not for drifting FBI just made a good thing better:tup: by the way great vids hope to have one of my own soon and i wont use the dfp just to show what is capable with the good old ps2 controler :sly:

Here at GTP we should also use punctuation and spell words in their entirety (unless you actually believe it is spelled 'altho' - in which case I suggest you revisit grade 2). You don't leave a good impression of Canada's education system.

And who says a DFP isn't for drifting, anyways?
I mean, I figure I'm a decent DS2 drifter. But drifting on the DFP is so much more challenging, and fulfilling when you pull off a successful drift.

Let the guy have his fun.

Oh, and thanks for pulling up a thread that has been dead for a month to contribute nothing to it....

Oh really, super soft sucks, super hard or hard is better. If you buy a DFP, it means you have a reset and all the practice you had isn't gonna mean anything.

For the DFP well I personally think that you should (...both; filude AND SILEIGHTY;) ) learn to drift with it.
I sometimes wish I could learn drifting all over again with the DFP. You dont know how friggin happy I was when I could drift FR:eek:
When I wish that I wish I had learned it on ghymkana, just taking a sileighty, 300BHP by having a stage 2 turbo. All rigidity updates, and just make circles, try to throttle control and get as much circles as possible, as long as they're steady.

If you've done that I personally think you should learn how to brake drift with the stock brakes of the sileighty, first feint then when you begin to slide push the brakes for even more angle. After you learned THAT you can begin to think about speed drifting IMHO;)

well said gt4 fan

im in the same boat.... i can drift, but not the best.
my advice would be to stay calm, getting angry makes you angrier and frustrated.
another good car if it hasn't been mentioned would be the 1983 Sprinter Trueno GT Apex. That car is pretty good for starting out. BTW Boundry Layer, didn't understand your drift tutorial.... to much college words.

:sly:

I'm going to rewrite it in the not so distant future. It could definitely use an update anyways

OHHH this is what it's come to has it, cheep shot about the fact I don't use proper grammar and i spelt although (altho) I don't see it as a big deal. Sorry if the kind of criticism I would like to receive is not appreciated, from now on I'll keep my opinion to my self.

I would have had nothing negative to say if you had at least made an attempt to use english to your fullest. Why anyone would choose convenience over appearing intelligent is simply beyond me.
Did you not agree to these Terms fo Service when you signed up?

TOS
* No slang words that promote laziness, ie; "r", "u", "plz", etc.

* Half decent grammar is expected. Use of capital letters starting sentences is looked upon favorably. Spelling half decently is also encouraged.

There's a certain standard we try to maintain on these forums.

Fine from now on I will use what is expected from all forum users, PLEASE lighten up a little bit we are the same age from the same country no less, and yet you would act in such an impolite manner towards a fellow canadian, really its sad to see what the world is coming to. (One thing I am confused about is you sexual as most 21 year olds wouldn't care or look twice to see if i had proper grammar and spelling:confused:)

That's because BL has respect for the board and it's rules. That's why he cares about his spelling and grammar. Not to mention you just plain look stupid when you spell simple words wrong.

You are the one that needs to lighten up. You tell someone that they did something that was a complete waste of money. But it wasn't even that, it was the way you said it. Like he has to be somekind of moron t buy a DFP and hope to become a better drifter.

Anyway, this is our forum and you're more then welcome to be here and ocntribute. But think before you post and refrain from directly insulting members. It's simply not tolerated.

And with that, I will bid you good day.
