Now this is one for all you Mac heads out there.

As you know I own an Imac with OSX 10.4 and I have just recently purchased my parents a Macbook with OSX 10.5 I want to do a fresh install of OSX so im in the middle of backing up all my files, dont get me wrong OSX is as solid as it was the day i first ran it and I cant see any kind of leagal ramifications as we legitimatly own both sets of installation disks, but what i want to know as this would be my first time doing this...

1) Will I have a problem using the installation disks from my parents Macbook?

2) If not will i need some sort of serial number?

3) Is there anything else I should know before embarking on this journey?

All help would be much apreciated.

Bit of an off topic question but do macs (OS X) get slower the more stuff you install on it like windows.... does it get 'bogged down' over the years or is it better designed than that...

Just curious..

Thanks for the info CD, Looks like I will have to purchase it, I did see it in a local shop not so long back for £65/$128 second hand so I may have to pic it up if they still have it.

No problem. 👍 See if you can find a friend that has a copy though. It would save you $130. ;)

Thanks for the reply 👍 I guess I think of OSX as some dream operating system! :sly:

Then you would be right! :sly:

Seriously though, every OS has its little niggles. I hate the fact that there are only a few games worth playing for Mac. This is slowly changing though.

Well I couldn't wait to go to that particular shop, and everyone i know uses PC rather than Mac, so I went and got OSX 10.5 today and I'm just in process of re-installing everything.
