This car hates the kerbs through turn 4 and 5, hit it the wrong way and you're gonna be fighting the wheel for some time, after an hour I finally got a 47.9 and considering the tyre wear advantage and extra traction at the starts I'm pretty happy I choose a RWD car for this.

My fastest was a 48.084, coupled with a 48.092 and a 49.155. It's quite fast, and getting faster.

Even in the Hyundai, front tyre wear is quite interesting, it gets to 9 after just 10laps and the front left gets alot of strain through Paddock, seeing as the FWD cars should be worse, they look like they are going to struggle to finish in good shape in relation to the RWD cars, let alone the start advantage.

On the 25 lap run at @Furinkazen's lounge, my fastest lap, a 48.7, came around the halfway mark, and late in the session I kept getting consistent low 49's, so the loss of speed is apparently quite minimal in the Renault.

Just tried the Megane with a proper BTCC set up it is scary fast!

How much rear camber do you want?

What specs... 48.0 seems a little quick :odd: :scared:
The car is 100% legal. I'm used to top 100's in TT's, but I was surprised by my own pace in this car, it's working nicely for me.

Like @Furinkazen, green was my choice but you can do what Benetton did with the B186. You just change the wheel color for every race weekend. :dopey:

That rear wing positioning looks absolutely ridiculous!

48.0's are not possible. Sure of it.

By any chance hsv010, does your car have a fully customisable suspension?

No, it has racing-hard suspension. If there is any testing tomorrow evening i'll prove it to you.

They are though. Ninners said he managed a 47.9 with the Hyundai, and the Focus can also do a 47.9 on a perfect lap. Guess I'll go and run all the cars at Brands again to how the others are.

Thought that was old spec?

For what it's worth I did a 48.0 in the Civic, Nin was turning 48.0s at the same time the other day too. It's definitely doable. I wish I could run in this series, time just clashes with another series I'm in :(

I did a 25 lap run with the Civic and my best was 48.1 and after lap 20 I was still able to lap below 48.5... also by the end of the run both my front tyres were at 8...

I just tested all cars. Focus, Skyline, Civic and Rangey can do 48.0 or 47.9 on a perfect lap. I'm not good with the Hyundai, so I'll add Ninners' 47.9 instead of the poor time I managed. That's 5 cars equal. I did 48.4 with the BMW, but it was nowhere near a perfect lap due to the rear stepping out everywhere. It should be right with the others on a more controlled lap. The understeery Megane could only manage 48.4 . Setups aren't really my thing, so I left the LSD of the RCZ at default. It was very understeery because of this and the lap was poor. It's still very fast in a straight line.

Seen Scania do 48.2 in the Megane, and BMW of Dax do 48.4.

Furi's probably just jealous of people being faster than him :p
On another note, that means the speccing has worked. It looks like we're heading into a good season here. And @Furinkazen are you running another test lobby tomorrow evening?
