That was my joke

Don't think I'm showing up this weekend at all, might be doing a little roadtrip to visit the uncle.

Not that I'd be qualifying for Ascari anyway. I'm only good for the long runs, not a single lap.

Something yellow comes this way... with not a hint of blue in sight.
;)

Judging by the posts I've seen.. I think this is another weekend I need to be worried about! :P

I'm Giovanardi in that envisaged situation by the way.

Very bad news. Laptop won't recognise my password, so a system re set may be required. In this case that will probably wipe the whole system :(

Sure your using the correct passcode? I'd call the manufacturer, see if there's a fix.

So um...

Perfect lap in the Focus at Ascari is a low 2:10
Perfect lap in the Civic at Ascari: 2:08.9

Civic is amazingly manoeuvreable compared to the Focus.

I'll try the Skyline and Rangey too, since they're the other 2 cars I'm able to drive well.

I'm still in the 2:11s with mine. :(

Rangey can do a 2:09.9

Added Skyline time of 2:10.2

Can't really do the other cars. I'm all over the place in the BMW, I'm not fast in the Hyundai at any track compared to its drivers (ninners etc) for some reason, I'd need good LSD settings for the Pug, and I'm worse than the Megan drivers in that car. I'll have a go I suppose, but probably won't get good data back.

Wow me thought my mid-low 2:10´s where fast but 2sec off the civic ?? And that on my favourite GT6 Track ??
Nissan still superb handling though -_-

I still wonder if it's ever going to get a boost or not. Overlord seems worryingly silent :dopey:

Updates thrown a few cars a curve ball huh.................terrific.

Judging from the moaning, I guess a mid-season test after Ascari is in order...?

If we do this, I would suggest that in such a test everyone should drive as many cars other as their own to provide accurate data that is independent from how quick someone is and how much they are just moaning to get their own car to be boosted. It's impossible to tell from individual performances what a car can or cannot do as e.g. Ford results in Silverstone showed. Joe was competitive all night while others were struggling, but there's no way to tell, if Joe was just exceptionally fast there or the Ford is not as bad as its reputation. (This is just an example - I'm not picking on the Ford ;) )

Just one additional word, if I may: I'm not a fan of adjusting the BoP mid-season, because usually everyone can test all cars during pre-season and pick one that is actually competitive. The usual method here is apparently more based on sympathy for a certain model and then relying on the organizers to make your car/driver-combination fast enough to compete, than to try what's fast and then make your pick. I know that the update might have changed some cars' behaviour, but, let's be honest, it didn't completely change the balance of things. The cars that understeered did so before, the cars that are fast on the straights still are, as well as the ones with low top speed being the same.

I can't say if it was the update or not, since the last time I drove the other cars was at Brands Indy in the pre-season. I agree about having everyone test as many cars as possible themselves, maybe use a tight twisty track (like Ascari) and a fast track (Willow or Spa) to see where each car stands at different types of track.
