Here is my question. From 1-8, how much enthusiasm left you will have if the update is finally come? I put a description on each score to help decide. Note that 5 is basically means indifference. Also leave the reasons on why you choose the score, so no flamebaits and things like "GT6 sucks, Forza 6 for the win!". Also keep under the AUP. Dont shame anybody who have unpopular opinion. We are all entitled of it.

I really hope this poll is also to help someone who manages the GT6 clubs and race leagues on why they didnt active anymore or such.

"I was slightly desperate waiting for an update"

May I ask you a question... how old are you?

I'm old enough to have played the 8 bits consoles, and from those days until the generation of the PS3/X360, console games didnt have any updates at all.

I wonder what did you do then. I see you survived, thats something.

"Slightly" is a strong word. Sure i can make up my other games/IRL activities. But thats not the whole point.

I used to have these wait for months since GT5. However this wait is probably the only instance where numerous of communities, mostly from person i know close, finally backed out. Im actually objected to that. But if im going to be honest, i dont really treat any game as a complete serious business.

Besides, discussions are fun!

If you measure desperation by a person's age, then that is a problem. Just because someone is x years old doesn't mean they have to be y level desperate.

I voted 4. I still play the game and enjoy cruising with members, but my hours put into the game has gone down compared to when I got the game/played GT5. Will the next update change that? Well, that's what I am hoping for. The less news about the GT series, the less encouraged people are to play the game. Less urge to play = slowly dying community.

I played GT4, GT3, GT2 without updates and many other games so I survived... For me its important that game is good from day one... I don't buy DLC for me its like trowing money... Already pay for game 60 euros and than to pay DLC... All updates should be free just like GT6... But I can live without updates.

It's not age, it's maturity. (or lack thereof)

EDIT - And I voted #8! Exclamation points and everything! Yay!

I was highly anticipating the release of GT6. I really thought it would be a giant leap forward in gameplay and features. I found it quite disappointing. What I thought were promises about regular and prolific DLC turned out to be "misinterpretations" and so, for the first time, I started looking at other games for my racing fix. I tried Grid Autosport, and while the graphics left a lot to be desired relative to GT, the offline racing was stellar and the online community was pretty good. I came into an older pc that could run Assetto Corsa...and I was hooked. GT has some things other games don't have and I do miss the community...but I don't miss the game.

This is awful:tdown:

The actual question doesn't really make any sense but I choose the bottom option because I have not even turned on the PS3 in months and while I was once excited for the course maker update to come after almost 2 years of waiting I wonder if it will ever come and even if it does if anyone I know will even be playing at the time.

You completely missed the point. Maybe you didnt read my full message and only the first paragraph.

You didnt reply my question. I dont need to know your age but I'm curious to know what you were doing when the console games had no updates. In the PS2 case it was until 2007 or so, therefore its not many years ago.

Funny. With all of my responsibilities as an adult, and as care free (and immature) as I was as a kid. I find myself to be "desperate" now more than ever... Hmm, it's funny how opinions can be stated as fact, yet not apply to everyone...

Anyways, the op is rather vague. I'm not playing GT currently, but I am looking forward to some course creator news. That would excite me as it would mean GT6 is that much closer to wrapping up and GT7 release is that much closer as well. I like VGT's, however new cars do not draw me back to a game as much as customizabilty and tracks do.

Perhaps @FrzGT , you should be more specific in your op and your poll about what you really want to know. Are you talking about the VGT update or the Course Maker? Are you wanting to compare the next game update with the last update? Are you just trying to determine the overall level of enthusiasm for the game at this point? Let us know what you are trying to achieve here and we can help you with the wording.

Well, to be honest, and not wanting to offend anyone. If you are desperate because of a very long delay of a console game update, then... your life may be a bit lacking in some way or another.

Your life may be lacking in some way or another even if you're not desperate. Let's just keep people's lives out of the discussion since it's offending and not really relevant.

I think its relevant and not really offending, just honest, but ok.

He stated that he dealt with depression already, so maybe so. But why is what his life is lacking even an issue? Are we here to judge him or answer his questions? Also, judging by his sentence structure, English may not be his native language. So the term "desperate" may simply be a loose translation that requires insight (and maybe a bit of not-so-common sense) to interpret.

I don't understand the question. @FrzGT Could you explain what the question and the options mean?

OP Update:
- Question has been simplified. Its an overall impression.

- "Story" removed. Not feeling to sound like a rant so here we go.

@NixxxoN I would also be laugh if i suddenly depressed because there is no update. Thats why i put "slightly" on it. Why really bother? I am more bothering about the community but other than that its a pass. I can talk and do other things to them than GT6 anyways.

Why 1-8? Why not 1-10?
Because i cant think any words.

Now back on topic.

I will just say that there are far, far more important things in life than a video game, and I say this as a huge GT fan and huge videogame fan. Okay people are free to do what they want with your life, but still...

OP Update:
- Question has been simplified. Its an overall imression.

Okay, so basically the question is how much enthusiasm I'll have when the next update arrives?

Well, if it's the Bugatti update I'll probably love it. I look forward to trying the car at least, but how long that enthusiasm will last depends on how good the car is.

Overall I'm happy with the game, usually play during the weekends and occasionally other days as well. Not sure if I'll be playing it more, it depends on how busy I am with other things.

So I guess a 6 or a 7 would describe it the best.

It is offending, because you imply that people are unhappy because there is something wrong with their lives.
So with this reasoning, psychologists are always offending people.

Back to the topic question: Depends of what the update is. If its the couple of expected VGT's, its would be nice but nothing extraordinary. But on the other hand, if its also the course maker... then... 100x more enthusiastic.

I voted 3. I still enjoy the game for what it is, and enjoy the game with my friends. But at this point, CM doesn't mean much to me now as barely anybody will be able to drive on our tracks. I don't know, maybe my enthusiasm will change when it FINALLY releases.

That's a rather rash assumption to come up with. I wouldn't say I'm desperate, but I would say that I'm anticipating and a little anxious for the next update. While that, I do athletics, work, chill with my friends, hang out with my family, draw designs in my spare timr and I'll be heading back to school in the Winter. Just because someone is dying to have an update that SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE GAME FROM THE BEGINNING, does not mean their life is lacking in enjoyment.

Why 1-8? Why not 1-10?
because 9 and 10 doesn't matter anymore

So with this reasoning, psychologists are always offending people.
Just when I thought you couldn't be funnier...

I'm also not sure if you think what you said is what psychologists would say to people, or that you refer to what you said as some kind of diagnosis that a psychologist would make therefore making you some kind of "psychologist".

If you didn't want to offend anyone, you failed.

That's like saying that surgeons are assaulting their patients, because they cut them with knives and make them bleed.

It's about showing some basic respect. When you attack someone's private life you're going too far.
The first thing the psychologists try to do is to make someone realise for himself that he might have so kind of problem. So the first step is to recognize it.
And I was just honestly trying to help, or saying it in a friendly way. I wasnt really implying anything either.
But I love how some of you guys always think of the bad side of things to make someone else look bad or look like a villain. Congrats!
