Front wheel drives can be cheated?

The FF cheaters just casually tap their brake like a guy we all know does with his AWD cars... My opinion is if I see your brake lights come on at all after launch AND you win, or here "mischievous" engine bogs on MR and FR cars I'm throwing your ass out of my room no questions asked... An yes the brake tapping will alter you GForces significantly so if you post a pic on a leaderboard without GForces your a dumbass, and only making a fool of yourself...

I am so sick of this e-cheating bull crap.
I was in a room my buddy made just messing around and got accused of doing the e-cheat the first night I got my G27 (Christmas night)

When i told him I was practicing riding the clutch on my G27 in my drift car here started to say I am a liar and i was full of crap and so on. Saying he can spot e-cheaters and i suck at doing it because it looks so obvious. Ummmmmm if it was obvious my e-brake light would be on. Then he proceed to tell me that I don't even have a G27.

So while he is talking more about how my RPMs are staying at a certain point and I am practicing holding the e-brake being a little kid that is scared to be real and admit it.

I told him once again I am not e-cheating i am simply practicing riding the clutch on take off so I can do this to give courtesy roll this way instead hitting the brakes for a slower car following me before hitting the first corner in a drift tandem.

So since he continued to tell me i was full of crap i then dumped the clutch and basically he now saw this...

But on his screen he sees 1st with the engine shut off just like that.
I then said... So do you still think I am lying about not holding the e-brake and about having a G27? He left shortly after.

I can see where e-cheating and riding the clutch may look similar but not the same. And plus he shut up when he finally had seen what tires i was on (spoil alert comfort hard tires).

I am considering getting back into drag racing but i would rather drag people with a clutch if you guys get what I mean.

I am sorry if this is off the topic but i am wishing people would just stop being so quick start screaming at someone who is in fact not doing e-cheating.

I assume everyone can't spot them as good as they think they can. I mean i was blown away at this guy's stupidity.

I found this thread with a post from mazdaman and from other threads i understand it's like cutting power to the wheels while accelerating for a tiny moment to ease wheelspin. I can see how that can work though it's very unorthodox and not something i'm interested in doing.

Dont help this guy he is already creating a stir in leaderboard, posting times and hiding 0-60 and 0-100 times, we dont need anymore drama. PS "e-cheating" in a FF slows you down all you are doing is dragging the rear tires and as little power we have it can easily make you bog. If you tune it right our quick shift deals with a lot of spin. We only hit around 120 MPH so any little loss of speed is detrimental.

That's not very nice, this site is about everything Gran Turismo except illegal doings and there's nothing wrong with his question. I've been told now it's people using the handbrake after launch at low rpm to get grip, I don't see the benefit really, too much fuss.👍

for fwd the common cheat is the break, you can tune your breaks balance and then fairly apply them during the first gear giving you more grip and acceleration. the uncommon way is with the ebrake but you have to master the technic to make it believable. as for the speed test you can detune any car and run srf on tu get the expected results, i stop posting pictures due to that, i started to notice the gap between my time and the top time was too much different so made me believe on that more. like i said before, my times may not be faster but i'll pull from a even launch against 99% of all drag racers and most times even if i got treed. my advice is if you want a fast car make it as close as you can to the leaderboard top time and you will have a fast car the rest is on the tree, later online find a guy who claims to be as fast as the top time and beat him, that's the only way to achieve sussex in ur tune meaning you did a great job at it, i've done that plenty times for example, a guy that i won't mention claimed to have a 8.994 acr and he raced me like 20 times and i pull on all of them by a minimum half a car on dead even launches, my acr is a 9.004, stop worrying to much for it and just avoid trouble makers.

Found an Echeater yesterday running an EK handing it to everyone, til he race my Dc2, spot his brake lights coming on and off so conveniant that his EK was red so it was hard to spot cause the blend pretty well, but I was still beating him we must have run like 12 times he kept going rr, at one point he stop when we were at top of third gear I guess he screwed up, at the end he stop running me, no match even when cheating and then he left. Funny they get bend out of shape when you call them out.

So I guess it is possible to Echeat with a FF.

I ran someone like this too about a month ago, he had three other friends who he showed it to also. your story sounds just like mine so if anything, we probably ran the same guy.
