JR98 GAMING
FTL is a space combat adventure kind of game. You get a ship, and have to flee across several systems to escape. You encounter pirates, mantis, Federation and all kinds of other factions. You upgrade, repair and maintain your ship along your journey. If you die, you have to start from the very beginning. This video I made pretty much shows off most of the game. Put it on 720P so it is at least watchable

This looks awesome thanks for posting.
Best part is: It's only like £6.99! I got the game and soundtrack on sale for under £4

Edit: @LMSCorvetteGT2 Also, The reaso the video is all jerky is because the game was being played at 40-50 FPS while it was uploaded at 30. Game is very smooth once you're playing it

This is why PC gaming is king.

Also if you like FTL you might also like The Binding of Isaac, Teleglitch, Hotline Miami (the sequel just came out too), Nuclear Throne, Risk of Rain, Rogue Legacy, Spelunky, Gunpoint, um... There are probably others, but even though none of these are even nearly the same as FTL they are (mostly) roguelites and really fun to play in short bursts. But if it's the turn-based thing you like then I can't think of any alternatives other than X-COM, which is not in space.

I only got it because I watched NerdCubed play it and looked cool. I may get Binding Of Isaac and perhaps Hotline Miami. Probably going to get Spelunky for my PS4 at some point (I remember seeing Spelunky on the PS Store)

I have it n my iPad. I died badly and haven't touched it since, but that's more to do with the nature of tablet/mobile games full stop.
