You obviously didn't read my post... I was merely stating that other racing series have damage in response to someone saying that it was a licensing issue or somethin'. They could probably do it, but I bet they don't right now because they can't give it the detail they want.

Basically if PD were allowed damage, they would do it but no in a PS2 game maybe PS3, but as things stand PS3 or not PD can't have damage, if the get 80% of the cars licensed to be ok'd for damage they still could'nt do it cos of the remaining 20%.

PD has said that even if they were to do damage in GT4, it would take them atleast another year because they have to modle all 500+ cars with different damaged parts etc... Do you want to wait another year or 2 for this?

I think damage of some sort should be in there... especially since we're going to be running online against other people now. At least SOME sort of penalty so that you don't have fools using the "I'll just use you to make it through the corner" crap.

I'd love to see damage, but I would like to see it up to what I've seen PD do in the past - err...if that makes sense... I mean, I'd love to see them do it, but only if they could but their whole weight behind it and do it right.

As far as the fuel consumption thing...It works on 24Hours of LeMans.
There is also:
lots of tracks, none common to GT-3 (gotta love variety)
tire wear,
the ability to change tire types while in the pits,
the ability to regulate how much fuel you take on, by percentage, in the pits, and my favorite,
the ability to save your game while in the pits on enduros.
Now on the down side, at least for LeMans:
Extremely long load times,
Low quality graphics
Limited ability to change your tuning
a butt-load of cars, that are all the same car with different numbers
Physics model not up to par with GT-3.
So, it is possible to include all the features we want in GT-4. But what would it cost is quality of game play?

some of the reason some games inclue damage is maybe bc the graphics are not that good and plus they usually dont include the makes emblem therefore they dont need to worry about any manufacture complaining saying their car gets damaged when it isnt officially their car its just a copy without an emblem so it doesnt exist thats what i think. :irked:
