Fuji Speedway times!!

Just wondering what consistent times people are getting on Fuji.
I think im gettin worse the more i play :grumpy:
I get the same times in the Evo X tuned,the Mines Skyline.
I might get a second Faster in the GTR.
Im consitent at 1.45 give or take half a second, or 5.20 for the race.
Ive done a race in 5.17 a couple of times in the Mines Skyline.


Iv'e seen winners with a time of 5.10 or 5.09.
Theres no way im gettin there ever i think :)

Im using the PS3 pad,are the people getting times of 5.10 using a pad or wheel?
Is it possible to go that fast with a pad?

If ye can post your times and if your using a pad or wheel, would be much appreciated.

At least i know then if it is possible to do it without a wheel.

Im using a pad and in my 698 PP tuned GTR i've set a 1:42:234 in a race and had a total time of around 5:10... if i recall correctly, i might have had one game in the high 5:09's... takes practice of the course and hitting your marks every lap!! consistency is the toughest part! And be smooth with the controls... dont just slam x when getting on the throttle, start with a lower pressure and then progress up to full throttle. and good exits onto the fast parts of the track helps alot too!

I use the pad and can get the times you're talking about, the track is one of my favorites and it rewards smooth driving.

The little piece of advice posted above is very important, never just slam the throttle on. For me, driving through 100R, I can pass everyone and extend my lead through that one corner alone. You see people taking all sorts of lines but I find entering tight, getting to the middle and then hugging the apex again works well. I also never lift off and just keep it smooth through the corner.

You can also make up a lot of time in the final sector with some practice, it's tricky at first but once you find the right line, you will keep hitting it.
 
Times depend..
..on your position in the race. (Online-Boost/Leader-Penalty/Rubberband-Effect)

I did very many laps on Fuji already (in a GTR R35)

Best ever was 1.36.2xx (While far back from the leaders and catching up)
Usually I do 1.42.xx - 1.43xx (if I am in the lead)
Once I did a 1.40.2xx while in the lead.

I win most races. My best 3 lap overall (including standing start) was 5.06xx

Usually It takes 5.10 - 5.15

My Rank at the 700PP Time-Trial is 9th (1.39.19x) at the moment.

Oh Im using the pad..
 
how do you find out total race time? i wonder why there arent any times given on the final result screen, best lap for each driver would also be very nice :)
 
My times in a Z06 are 1'45 or just under (a standard Z06). Never tested much else there.

Im getting 1.44 in a lotus and 1.43.1 in the gtr. Nothing wrong with a 1.45, but you will need to be quicker to beat some of the drivers out there.
 
Hey guys...... i have a question regarding the online times.

I set a 1.50.152 on S2's earlier tonight on the PP700 time trial, yet it does not show up in the rankings part located on the "My Page"...... yet the time i set on R3's shows up within the rankings section of the online menu......

Can someone give me a clue as to how i can get my S2 time represented on the My Page rankings?...... as i'm a little confused.

Could you send over your spec's you used to set these times?
Im having a lot of trouble with grip and balance of the car(gtr)
I could get into the 1.41's but would be a banzai lap to do so.
I ran tonight at fuji with 1.43/4/5's in race mode which is ok but not enough by the sound of it.

At least i know its me and not the joypad :dopey:

I never liked drivin the GTR 07 feels too good or unreal for a better word,

But i put 2 laps in the 1.43's driving the Mines Skyline in 1 race today after reading this.
So thanks for the insperation :sly:
