Today's cars have awesome exterior lights with the use of LED's and HID's it's a shame we can't see them in all thier glory. Manufacturers like Audi and Lexus have made daytime running lights look so good, not to mention turn signals and marker lights. You photomode users could make great use use of this. I for one would like to be able to control all the lights, not just flash the high beams when I'm allowed to.

Sure, provided it was somewhere between replaceable wiper blades and in car air fresheners...!

Okay, so it might be nice, but it would be so far down the list of things they need to get right first.

P.S. I hate Audi's ridiculous DLR's with a passion.

When they have gotten through the list of 101 things that need sorting first?

Sure!
More like 4563532 things if they want to do everything the members at GTP are whining about.

Loads of people here can be quite whiney.

That's because there's 4563532 things to whine about then.

People aren't just making up lies are they, they are obviously genuine issues.

Whilst I agree there are plenty of bigger issues for PD to address, there have been many times when I would just like the simple option of being able to turn my headlights on, the game locks in the times when you are actually able to do it.

Number one reason is that it makes the dash lightup and easier to see when it is in shadow like it is half the time and unusable!

Given the limited resources of the PS3 you will never see it on GT6. 512 Mb of ram are not good enough for dynamic lights for everithing. Compromises had to be made for the game to look good and run smooth too

No. People just want unreasonable things.
Livery editor? Might be possible, but some people want a livery editor a la Forza. Yeah sure that's possible! Go back to dreamland.

I couldn't give a crap about adding anything, i just want the sounds sorting, you know, the basics of a driving/racing game!

Need for Speed High stakes had this function.

L1+Up for high/lowbeam
L1+left for left blinker
L1+right for right blinker
L1+down for hazards
Button combos are the way to go.

GTAV has about 50 functions per button on the controller

I would love to have functioning turn signals. 👍

I would like the ability to choose when to switch on my headlights and choose high-beam or not. Indicators (Turn signals) do not interest me in the slightest as it is a racing game and add nothing in my opinion.

This I remember well. Admittedly I do not think we need indicators really. However, what would be interesting was independant control of the pace car lights... could make for some cool online stuff...

........If next GT is an open world simcade a la Forza Horizon, then sure, why not. PDI themselves always reminds you to use turn signals and obey traffic laws so.....

Yeah, hindsight being 20/20, probably not very high on my list of want's. I did notice the other day I couldn't get my headlights to flash even though my dash indicator was changing. No worries, just keep working on that course creator PD. Tonight? Finger crossed.

Whilst we don't have any non closed circuit scenarios to drive on, indicators are completely pointless. I'm pretty sure there are open world motoring simulators out there that cater to this kind of interest though.

the blinker's are not bad at all, is good for trackdays, cruising and 2 way lobbies for make it more realistic and an example on a race with heavy damage if you need to run slow because of a damage put all blinker's on to tell the rest of drivers you are running slow.
(im not sure but i think is used in vln races)

Here's another use for indicators. Just then, I'm watching V8 Supecars, Tim Slade is ahead of David Reynolds. Reynolds is gaining on Slade In the draft. Slade turns on his right hand indicator to let Reynolds know he's peeling off into pit lane. It just helps the faster driver know you're not racing him for position. Keeps both drivers aware to get on with their own race.
