I tried maxing out some cars just for fun and found that some cars give extreme performance figures when maxed. Here are some PP numbers. (All cars have racing hard tyres installed.)

ZR1-RM - 772 (905bhp, 1100kg)
McLaren MP4-12C - 716 (880bhp, 1124kg)
Viper SRT10 ACR - 704 (1001BHP, 1257kg)
Audi R8 4.2 - 662 (730bhp, 1264kg)
Nissan GT-R SpecV - 658 (745bhp, 1362kg)
Gallardo - 642 (738bhp, 1174kg)
Copen (sports hard) - 458 (202bhp, 737kg)

What other cars give good performance figures when maxed?

PP numbers don't quite work like that though... they're also tune-dependent.

We ran an RM Elise '96 test last night and the cars were +/- 610 PP at 262bhp... they ain't no 700bhp Skylines!

Are you sure the PP numbers are tune-dependent ? I thought they were based only on hp, weight, tires and aero.

BTW, the maxed Audi R8 is excellent. Its handling is just as good as race cars. The maxed Viper tho is really hard to control.

As stated i think a few factors are taken into consideration rather than just sheer horsepower. Lotus RM, not even full tuned has a higher PP than a semi-tuned NSX.

In GT5P the PP were calculated with

Downforce
Power
Tires
Weight

IIRC

So a Elise with lot of downforce and Racing Soft has more PP then a Camaro with huge power but bad tires and downforce...

I was amazed when I fully tuned my merc c63 amg, it can go up to 845hp and 1400kg!! Add in the 7 speed box (fully customisable) ant it is unbeatable. Can't remember what the pp is though.

845hp is a lot! I believe even the Murci doesn't go that far. Do you remember how it handled ? Was it easy to drive or hard to control ?

It is quite easy to drive, I always use racing tyres and I added a spoiler. I think it would be a bit unpredictable on sports tyres though!
I will try to post a picture later or tomorrow.

With my Audi RS6 I beat C63's on SSR7.

Tune Dependent to a degree.

My RX-7 '02 maxed out gives PP of 651 with 564bhp and 1051kg, only good to drive with racing softs, top speed was touching 200 though!

my 09 gt-r gta is 928 hp

That's a huge improvement considering the GT-R spec-V goes only upto 745bhp. I should gold the S license and get that car soon.

I find even the stock RX-7 hard to handle on sports hards. The maxed R8, GT-R and the Lambo's are all manageable with racing hards tho. The maxed R8 should be driveable even with sports tires.

tyres make no difference to PP, only weight and performance(dont think ive seen aero make PP difference).. i use racing mediums on all my cars aswell..

if they do, then they dont tell you like it does when you change weight and power ..

by the way, i have an R8 that maxes out @ 843hp, it is the le mans quattro 03, so i guess that might be why?? it is an hand full..

my most powerful car is a viper srt10 03 @ 953hp, its not bad, hand full also, but doesnt seem as quick as id have thought..

but yeah the PP can easily be understood wrong, like the elise someone mention, i have the caterham seven fireblade 02 and thats maxed at 237hp(cant lose weight with this car) and the PP is 675, my viper is only PP 694 and my audi 687..
