You can drift any car in the game, it's really not as difficult as everyone makes it seem.

TVR tamora fully loaded is a nice drifter real smooth around the corners when set up properly

any nissan z car you want is good for driftin i do agree it is harder to get a good drift line with the standard controler the steering is verry sensitive on the stick. havin the gas and break as the other stick is normal to me as ive had that setup since gt 2. i wouldent mind trying a wheel but im not about to drop a bucck fifty on one thats a bit mutch for one game lol maybe i can borrow a friends or somethin. yankow i realy want a car seat chair a nice leather bucket to sit in while playin anyone seen somethin like this for sale?

GOOD GOD man!! you should go on arcade, then choose deep forest normal, then try to drift with the MR2, 1st gen, or second doesnt matter. remember to equip your Economy tires.. then Viola! there you have it! its really fun to drift with MR cars... now im wishing i should have bought that 2nd gen MR2 aside from my AE83 :( but oh well i have a drifting trueno, and a suped up Supra which will soon be turned into a drifting car as well! 👍

YES!!!! Stock MR2 Spyder with N1s or N2s is a BLAST!!! Also try the NSX-R.

Pontiac Solstice Concept--VERY nice car, well-balanced, steps out nicely but remains easy to control, and has a good amount of power out of the box.

Plymouth Superbird--No-brainer here. Tall gears + narrow tires + 440 cubic inches = roasted rubber. It can be a serious handful with stock suspension but CHRIST it's fun doing donuts in that thing! "Traction-limited" doesn't even begin to cover it. Wanna step out? FLOOR IT, in just about any gear, and I guarantee you'll break the rears loose. It'll roast anything but the grippiest racing tires, and even those can be burned off if you know what you're doing.

im loving the 54 vette ..... couple pics ... dont have a flash drive :/

was just play'n around with the Prowler basicly stock ... just racing susp and a comp chip ... with 1 weight reduct man that thing worked really good even for me and i am forced to use a dualshock lol

the 97 Camaro Z28 is fun basicly stock .... about 311 HP no other mods

the IROC is actually really good stock.....

Nice shots of the 53 'vette. I've got to work on my technique more. Actually, I need to learn the basics of setting up the drift. My little Ginette will break tires all the way through 5th gear and I can get a drift going with it without to much effort, but I don't get sustained drifts with it ( autumn ring ). I need to read up in the other drift threads on proper set up and technique and learn the physics of drifting.

My brother and I took turns tonight with the wheel drifting. It's sad really, NFSU I could drift all day long, but I can't seem to get cars to drift anywhere near what I could in that game. Of course I realize that NFSU is an arcade racer and nothing GT4...but the drift mode in that game was hella fun.

Hopefully I'll have some success getting a car set up and make my own drift video now that I have a capture card ( still working the kinks out of it though ).

yea i could get 20-40 second drifts in NFSUG2 with my keyboard with the hummer at that lol

hehe, 50 secs. here, but with a hummer or a RX-7, it just feels a lot heavier when turning that wheel............whoever, you can learn the BASIS of drifting in NFSU2..............hey don't laugh at me, you CAN actually learn drifting with even NFSU2:lol:

im inclined to disagree, unless when you say 'basics' you mean you can learn what a drift looks like. And the fact that you have to turn and have some sort of throttle depression for it to happen, other than that, i don't think NFSU2 is a good learning tool, especially not for learning the control required when drifting. (Oh and need i mention the FF drift factor in NFSU2?)
Apologies if your post was meant to be a joke, but you said don't laugh at me, so i thought maybe you were being serious

As for the topic, i cant wait to drift the Volvo

Well, it maybe appeared to be a sorta weard comment of me "....don't laugh....."
I was just talknig about a bit counter steer and MAYBE a bit of throttle control, but nothing more it just sucks a bit if you try to learn with NFSU2, that's why I said don't laugh, cause it's ONE UNREALISTIC game:lol:

No appologies necesary, don't worry about that

I really hope the new cars are fun to drift with, still have to try may of GT3.......can you believe it?? After 2 1/2 years!!!!!👍 It's gonna be ONE BIG heaven with GT4, my parents even said I have certain times that I can go on internet to GTPlanet, because it's one BIG obsession, not that my parents are easy either but.......

I'm having fun and also am having a lot of frustration build from drifting the cars I own, however....

And I take this with a grain of salt, but I'm either snowplowing into the turn or whip steering the ass end around in circles with the cars I've tried using ( Ginetta G4 has been the easiest to drift with ), and I've tried the Barracuda, the Lotus Elise and a couple of other cars...

I'm pretty sure this is just going to end up being one of those things that finally just "clicks" in my head and I finally "get it", but for now...can what's the general consensus on the "easiest car for a complete drift n00b" to learn with? I've got the Shinego or whatever it is Trueno from the used car dealership, but haven't messed with that yet, and I have enough money to buy just about anything I want and max it out.

I need a drift car with training wheels...anyone know where I can get one?:ouch:

i learned (i would say im 70 percent there) on my miata (full car name posted above along with pic)...

people said a stock mr2 with N1s is easy to drift.... i couldnt even get it sideways.

drifting in NFSU2 completely throws me off on control when i go back to back with GT4, so i let people borrow NFSU2...well anyways the S14 is always a fun car to drift in my opinion

I've been enjoying my 83 lancer 1800 GSR turbo. It's alot like the AE-86 and is real flingable.

good deal, i bought one of these last week, havent used it yet but nice to know it will be fun.

I'm using the Mazda RX-7 LM right now, a little more trouble having to raise the ride height to normal and tinkering with the downforce was kinda weird but it was very rewarding. BTW, is anyone else trying to make the Blitz ER-34 Skylline (D1 Spec) controllable. Because as soon as its sideways it nevers comes back.
