Basically, I was scrolling through some of the older 'news'; and whilst I was reading the one which revolved around donating the premium subscriptions' money towards a cancer based charity, I just wondered where the money goes now.

Obviously some of it goes towards supporting and running the site. Where does the rest go?

It's just general curiosity, don't take the question the wrong way. :)

Thanks.
Zm.

It still goes to the cancer charity .

Thanks Diogo. :)

It's good to hear that. 👍

It's such a shame that such few people have upgraded (:(). It costs (only) £16, and the money goes towards fighting cancer...

In my case , my parents always think that's rip-off , bull:censored: and soo

Actually, the cancer charity thing usually happens over the Christmas period. The rest of the year the money will go towards the site, maintaining it, server costs, I have no idea what else.

And Diogo doesn't know either so I don't know why he's pretending he does. We'll just have to wait for Jordan to give the correct answer.

No, funds are directed to charity only during the promotional period, as outlined in the announcement.

All of it does; I can't recall a time when Premium revenue exceeded monthly operating expenses.

I am absolutely not judging you; but why isn't a small percentage of the income not always given to charity?

Or does using it elsewhere make it a bit too difficult to pay running costs?

If he never exceeds operating expenses with the revenue, then taking more money out of that pot for charity would create a bigger financial burden.

That charity thing is what swung me to become premium :) it is a good cause so why not :)

...I was totally ignorant to that part of Jordans post. :D *oops*

Thanks for re-introducing some sense. :p

That's exactly what I thought. I was only aware of the charity gifting through sheer coincidence (scrolling old news), but if I had known earlier on, I would have upgraded much quicker. I honestly can't say I know the reason why I didn't do it quicker anyway. :)

Anytime. ;)

And I should get premo, 25$ is nothing really, and it's so annoying having to decide which Pms to keep and which to discard.

Just do it like I do: don't keep any.
