I'm amazed the term "tree'd" hasn't come up already.;)

The mechanics at work like to play jokes on newcomers, when they either tell them to check the Twinkle Bar, or ask us to order a Twinkle Bar. It's pretty funny the first few times you hear it.:sly:

Same here; a guy I work with asked a newcomer to go to the parts store and get us a new squeegee sharpener. Guy spent an hour down there looking; of course, it doesn't help when we called and told the guys at the parts store to play along with him.

I did work experience at a truck service depot, I was 15 then, one of the mechanics ask me to go and get "a short weight" from the store. The storeman obliged. I'm glad it wasn't "a long wait" he wanted me get.

When someone else misses a gear you yell "pedal on the left" at them.
When you miss them say "just cleanin' the teeth"

Are you going to spray?
Is it going to hook?

:-)

I was asked to go and get some sparks for the spark plugs, and to fetch a left handed screw driver...
