Exactly like my cat; he won't eat if you aren't holding the food for him, or until you don't touch the food in the bowl.

He doesn't trust me.

Cats find it difficult to see things close up that aren't moving. The only exception (with my cat) is crispy fried duck from the takeaway. He'll have lumps out of your arm to get to that.
