Cool, does it actually taste like grape soda you get in the US? It looks like the kind of thing only available in big supermarkets, so I'll check out the big Sainsbury's near my work.

Old Jamaica is the only grape soda I've tried so I can't compare it to any other brand or style. It's also readily available in smaller shops, newsagents and takeaways around where I live.
 
Why do grape flavoured things not actually taste like grape? I really like grapes but can’t stand anything grape “flavoured”, but it just isn’t. Same kind of goes for watermelon too.

I have that with lemons (good) vs lemon flavouring (bad).

Here in the ole USA they have started selling watermelon flavored Mountain Dew , I drink diet drinks myself so it tasted too sweet for me. It taste like a watermelon flavoured "Jolly Rancher" has been dropped in a Mountain Dew.

Im not too fussed with lemon flavoured products. My current obsession is this manow (key lime) soda from Schweppes. It does seem to actually use actually lime extract rather than a synthetic flavouring though. Mega sweet so equally as bad as a Coke, but deliciously refreshing.
