The game is set in the near future and follows a team of four misfit agents collectively known as Overstrike 9, who infiltrate enemy strongholds using fringe-tech gadgets and lethal teamwork. The members of Overstrike 9 are Dalton Brooks (voiced by Brian Bloom), a reformed and sarcastic mercenary, equipped with an energy shield, Naya Deveraux (voiced by Jennifer Hale), a mischievous, lifelong thief, equipped with a cloak device, Isabelle "Izzy" Sinclair (voiced by Ali Hillis), a gifted, but rebellious young scientist, equipped with a mass bubble gun, and Jacob Kimble (voiced by Khary Payton), a decorated detective with a bit of a temper, equipped with an electric crossbow.

"Fuse demonstrates what Insomniac does best: outlandish and gruesome weapons design, over-the-top action and a touch of humor," said Insomniac Games' Founder and CEO, Ted Price. "We're especially excited to see how players utilize lethal teamwork by combining their Fuse weapons to stop a deadly arms race."

Is Ddrizle a real person or just a videogame news machine?

He the news machine man. Saves me from going to multiple sites to get some info.

I applaude the bionic mans efforts in keeping us up to date in the vg world.

Was thinking the same thing...

Every time I notice there is released a new trailer or screenshots of a game, I just think; "i'll just jump on GTP and Ddrizle has posted them already". :sly:

So far, all I could find on a seperate type of multiplayer is Echelon, nothing on a multiplayer deathmatch or free-for-all as of yet.

Digital Spy
Echelon encompasses 12 rounds, each with a randomized objective, such as defending points or clearing the arena of enemies. Meanwhile, the sixth and final 12th round will feature a mini-boss and main boss respectively.

The squad of four players must collectively defeat waves of enemies, but are also competing against one another for scores and coins littered around the environment.

Anyone intending to buy this game when it releases ?, I have a feeling that it will be lost in the crowd, it might be the reason Insomniac eventually goes back to making Playstation exclusives.

my main man Ddrizle always with the scoop thanks for the info this game isnt a day one buy for me I may possibly look at it this summer for some co op if ican convince a friend to purchase it

You're very welcome! 👍

X360 and PS3 demo to be released May 7th.

Gamespot
The demo supports up to four player co-op online or two-player local split-screen. In the demo, players take on the role of four operatives and must protect mankind from Fuse, the nefarious alien energy source stolen by a paramilitary organization called Raven.

I thought the weapons were fun, there again Insomniac always do make fun weapons for their games.

The movement options took a bit of getting used to. It was also a pain that it would pop you back into standing mode after rolling from cover to cover. I suspect that I'd get used to that though.

All in all, quite impressed.
