Nice deal. Yeah the GT looks nice, I would pick this up if I could get approval from the wife, but after T500 for Christmas I don't think it's going to happen.

hey bro, just wondering how big of a difference is the G27 and the T500. i see in your sig you use to have a G27...

I do have both but won't actually start using the T500 until tomorrow. I'll let you know what I think after I used it a bit.

That is a good deal. The only difference over the $500 Forza model that I can see is that this one doesn't have the adjustable angle on the pedal plate.

yes they did that on the Forza cause of Xbox wheels. Fanatec needs a more slant pedals unlike the G27... although i would love to have that adjustability... cause it seems to be so high up... but its bareable...

Can't you just wedge something to make the Fanatec pedals more...slanted? I'm looking at this and the WRC GT...it's 350 with free shipping and no tax! :)

If I had to pick between the two, Obutto.

But I take my setup a little more seriously and while I enjoyed the Playseat I had for a few years, I would never go back to a pre-built system again. After constructing my own, the ability to make it exactly how I want/need it is something I couldn't give up.

For $300 you could build a very nice rig yourself. I'm not putting down the Playseat, but if you are planning on using extra peripherals other than the wheel/pedals, I would suggest building your own.

I wish I could build my own rig, but my dad and I are kinda burnt out from AP classes and work, respectively.

EDIT: Wow, the Playseat WRC is $350 right now! Now I have to decide between the Obutto, WRC, and TS!

True but most dont have the time or tools to get it started... Ive had my GT5 for 5 months and being compact and well built i cant ask any better rig....

Although ifni have the all the time no doubt i will make one myself

Well, I understand the lack of tools, but you can build a very basic but very functional rig from wood if you just have some basic tools (some form of powered saw for cutting, a straight edge, hand tools, etc). As far as time goes, to get my rig from nothing to functional is took two weekends, totaling about 16hrs of actual work. It's also nearly as compact as the Playseat, just not quite as portable.

Again, I'm not knocking the Playseat or any other rig for that matter, I had the very first Playseat and enjoyed it with my G25 for quite some time, but as I got more serious with sim racing (especially with PC games like rFactor and iRacing) I found myself having to bring over little nightstands or tables to mount the rest of my peripherals on, and it was highly inconvenient. But if you plan out a DIY build yourself, it can be both compact, functional, and easily expandable.

Well holy 🤬, my wife and I just had our X-Mas this weekend due to traveling for family the next couple weekends. She ordered me this! I may have the best wife in the world.:)

It should arrive next week sometime. So pumped.
