I drift in manual but use the padles and with using the handbrake with a pad I wanted to try with the G25. I now use the Sequential down for the handbrake and it feels pretty sweet, though im not to good with it. While racing I use manual H pattern with clutch and it works great, then when I drift I flick it to paddles and now my sequential downshift goes onto a handbrake which is cool with me without having to go into the options.

Basically I am wondering if anyone else does it this way and is now good at it. ( I thinkimg it may work out very good when I am rallying in GT5 with a 4WD car)

secondly what setups do you run when you are drifting with a G25 but with no handbrake. e.g. to get past the fact you have not got a handbrake my brake bias is 4 at the front 10 at the rear to try and get it sideways on entry with the brake pedal?

I set up my brakes the same way. I turn abs off, go into turns faster than norman, feint, then immediately slam on the brakes. You will hear the tires lock up, then just gas it and counter steer accordingly. I have never thought of using my shifter as a handbrake (I have dfp), thanks for the idea.

Thread revival.

Last night I messed around with the button mapping on my DFGT. I put the upshift as e-brake and downshift as up shift. But today I thought of a better configuration. I'm going to leave upshift as the e-brake and make downshift back to what it should be. After that I'm going to make both paddles upshift so no matter what I know what they will do.

Setting the clutch pedal to handbrake might be better, as the sequential stick is handy for high lock situations, since the paddles are joined to the wheel trying to figure which side is down or up shift is a pain!

I wish the Logitech wheels had paddles that did not rotate with the wheel

I don't have the G25, I have the DFGT. I agree about stationary paddles, but my fix for that is making them both shift up, so no matter which of the two I hit it's going to shift up.

Think of it this way guys; When the steering wheel is upside down, upshift is always left. That's what I do anyway.

I made my own custom handbrake.
I simply took some old pedal set and mounted a pole on it, then i taped 1 of my controllers on the back of it.
so everytime u pull the handbrake it presses the O button and it works for PC 2!
2 make the controller work while using a wheel u just start GT5p (only wheel is connected) and enter a track, then u turn on the PS3 controller and hold in the PS button, then goto controller settings and set it to 1. Now the wheel and the handbrake is working:D
