i have a question im new on gt and i bought a g25..ive been doin great on tt on standard but when i turn to pro physics its just impossible to control the car as it should be controled. then i tried using my controller and it was soooo much better the car wouldnt spin foolishly like it does with the g25

is it just me?

i drive in suzuka.and any car i try in pro i cant get a line goin with the g25. its so much easier with the controller (not the case with standard im faster with g25)with the controller on pro i can get the trottle goin much earlier then with the wheel

It takes some time to adjust to the wheel. Keep practicing. It will eventually pay off.

👍
Took me a while too. And after a FULL month of practice, (every other day) I made my times slower by 2-4 seconds with the wheel then the pad. :) I'n some cases 8! ;)

You need to use Pro Physcis for the car and Simulation Physics for the wheel to get the most out of it, You are better with a controller right now because the game is compensating for your bad driving.

Good thing this guy didn't play before the august 1st update, he would really have something to complain about then. :p

Yeah true, I mean if you cant controlle the cars now, Maybe a game like GRID would be more his speed.

Or maybe PD can just dumb the physcis down even more:tup::yuck:

(had to get my shot in.)

The physics aren't bad where they are, I do hope PD keeps the sim feel to the game, especially with damage coming our way.

i guess u did not understand what im sayin..
what i mean is i can drive faster on the controller than with the wheel on pro physics
and i think that theres got to be something wrong about that. why in standard the wheel is better and on pro its worst?

It's not better on standard it's just easier for beginner I may sound harsh but i can only tell you that practice will help you a lot more then coming here and crying about how hard it is playing on pro physics

Just takes practice. This topic is repeated quite often on these forums. People who switch from controller to G25 generally get slower before they eventually exceed their controller times. Keep it steady, slow is fast.

there is nothing wrong man,why else are thousands of people not having this problem???
beceause they got thru the "learning" phase....
its really something you have to get used to...i dont know if you drive cars in real life, but that is allready an advantage there ..

also, one of the biggest mistakes lots of people ,who try the wheel for the first time, make is that when they are exiting a corner and step on the throttle they are still turning the wheel in slightly...so make sure you are pointing it in the right direction and be quick with opposite lock!!!!

hope this will give you something to work on imallin7777...

spyrrari.

im not cryin about anything here..i was referin to a wheel problem i might have while DRINVING IN PRO my car wouldnt drive correctly while on standard it would drive with no problem.
i have p1 in most cars on suzuka on standard.
the prob is the controller drives far better than the wheel on pro
am i wrong?or do i have a faulty wheel?

Can you post a video of your driving? There's really not much to go with if you believe it's your equipment that's hindering you.

I'm guessing that you're going on the throttle too quickly and too strongly as you are exiting the corner. The rear steps out since it loses traction. I don't play in normal physics mode much, so I cannot comment on that.

It's definitely not a problem with the wheel since you are able to control it in normal physics mode.

I seriously dont understand why people struggle so much with the G25 i have only had my one for a few months and my ps3 for a few weeks. Yet i have no problems controlling the car with the g25 while playing, hell i kick the back end sometimes for the fun of it.

Question is do you drive in real life? I know i tend to do a lot of track days and skid pan events. I guess this probably helped!

It's you. Not the wheel. Pro physics are called "Pro" for a reason.

I can't wait for my G25 to arrive next tuesday. This pro physics thing, only makes me more excited for the experience. I love a new challenge. I've had a steering wheel on the past for GT4 so I don't think it will take me a long time like some people are experiencing in here!!! :P

Or is it just a difficulty setting?
Meaning, is pro physics more "True" to life drivin experience or does it just make the car harder to control?

"More challenging driving experience" it claims on the marquee text :dopey:

I bought grid and it is incredibly hard with the g25. Much harder than gt5p. I have to turn the wheel off of 900 degrees to even stand a chance with grid. The cars just don't seem to want to turn on that game. You have to really over exaggerate turning the wheel from lock to lock on every turn. It almost broke my wheel, so I had to stop playing the game because of it. If he can't drive the cars in gt5p, there is no way he could in grid.

I will be getting mine tomorrow, waiting on delivering. Can't wait to put improve even more my lap times!

My biggest complain is that when you drift, the slide is not controllable enough when turning the wheel....you should just be able to stay smooth on the throttle and control it with the wheel. Now you can control it, but in real life the car just listens so much more to what i do with the wheel...you shouldnt have to turn it all the way to get it to listen. Because thats not what i have to do in my bmw anyway :) Something about that feels a little off
