Hey guys, I was driving my X1 for the A spec 4 hour Nurburing endurance race yesterday and the G25 shaked like hell, felt like as if it's gonna break. It's especially bad at lower speeds and in the 3rd section where u dive down to a circle shaped corner. It's so noisy that my parents complained it disturbed their sleep lol. The wheel also moves to the left and right during the long straight, how do some of u keep it so straight cos mine is wobbling all over the place. I tried using the DS3 but it oversteers and very over sensitive causing me to crush alot with Nurburing's tight roads.

Any tuning tips that may help stabilise the car? I've got all driving assists off except ABS 1 and skid recovery on.

Thanks.

They added the X1 to GT5?

/Just kidding!

I think if you go to steering wheel settings and turn on power steering and lower down force feedback it'll be more tolerable.

turned force feedback down to 1 and still shakes alot.

My friend !
I got problems as you ( X1+G25 )
I do believe you have done all you can do

a: rebuild chassis b. overhaul engine c. car setting

Only way to solve that by " unplug the power of g25 "
But the problem is" lost fun to driving "

But i still enjoy this combination to do " Le mans 24h "
save 7h to break and completed 385 laps .2rd completed laps / 364~380/ depend on weather and car model

Does g27 got the same problems?👍

yeah, unplugging is what seems to help as I've heard. It's good to have some vibration when driving other cars, but doing endurance races with X1 is a pain and extreme work out with the strong vibrations...can't imagine doing a 24 hour endurance on Nurburing with all that shaking....the wheel will blow up!

Wheel will blow up?
I have done " nuburing 4h " 7times + "Le mans 24h " 3times still alive so far

Tip, I used :
a: Don't hold tight to the wheel
b: Adjust to real comfortable sitting position
c: Take break after 2~3h

Hope that might help to you!

Yeah, unplug the power but do it after you've started the game. The first time I used my G25 for the X2010 challenge I hated the shake (even on FFB 1) so I unplugged the power. The next day I came back to try the challenge again, it was recognising everything but the steering, i.e. it was recognising the shifter, the pedals, even the buttons on the wheel, just not the movement of the wheel.

Mine is on ffb 10 but mode is simulation and I think it's fine, just gotta have a secure hold on the wheel.
Don't unplug the power you'll lose all steering feedback.

I have this issues with the Driving Force GT wheel, it feels like the x2010 has no shocks and hard tires, I feel every bump and it's magnified, my feedback is set to 8. Every other car feels okay though and I even dump them to the ground suspension wise.

well that is the true test of a real racer. that is how it is like in an actual racecar.

I had his problem with my Fanatec GT3 RS, luckily you can adjust deadzone and lower ther FFB which cured the problem, Otherwise I would struggle with a 20 minute race, never mind a 4 hour stint.

Yep, unplugging it helps for those long races....doesn't wear you out as bad.

It does feel different however.....without the force feedback, but it will save your forearms and shoulders! LOL :sly:

Solution: ==> Turn Skid Recovery OFF, and TC = 0, Turn it ALL OFF, just leave ABS at 1.

This car "Sucks" the pavement through the tires, into the steering colums, into your forearms, and right up your larynx. Turn them all off, and enjoy the real driving simulator (with all cars) and driving line too, ALL OFF.

PD, fix the brakes so I can turn off ABS

I guess that's just how it is then. Maybe X1 doesn't have any power assist since its a pure race car and going almost 500kph, every little imperfection on the road is translated to the steering wheel. Ever tried going 500KPH in a car? I bet its more violent than what the g25 is doing.

Nope, doesn't do anything.

Then why do other cars in the game go perfectly smooth at similar speeds, on the same roads.

Perhaps inconclusive, but one thing is for sure: The car that you drive in the challenge tests,(shakes like mad with assists as is) and the car that you drive after winning Bronze,(drives like a purring lion, with all assists off), handle like two different beasts.

Perhaps it's just me, I learnt how to tame the wheel / car to my driving style and abilities. It's a strange feeling to drive slower cars after, but somehow, the track is learnt better and driven better with the slower cars, after having ripped them apart in the Redbull. The appreciation for older cars, in the new Seasonal , is even higher still. Just don't drive them as you would drive the redbull, lmao

can you fiddle with your dead-zone?

Isn't that just a little personal? Thanks for the laugh. So few to be had on these forums... :-)

I have the GT25 and have never gone to the setup menu but the X2010 drives like a dream with my wheel and seat setup. I always have to keep two hands on it or the acceleration wants to rip it out of your hands. It is a monster of a car and that is to be expected. Cheers and good luck with your wheel. By the way, NASCAR is way more fun with a wheel. Some other cars I prefer to throw around with the hand controller. Alternating between joystick and pad depending on the situation. This game's driving action is BIG TIME FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!...

I thought it was just me who´s incapable of correct brake dosing? No way you could use those brakes properly with ABS off. If it would work properly, chances are that you could be faster on a complete lap..

I thought this problem was just with me and my DFGT. The first time I drove my own after winning it I just wanted to bench mark it against my average time at indy and could barely hold onto it because of the wobble. And I don't consider indy a real race track, it's racing for babies. I never had that issue when doing the challenges on F1 tracks, so I may need to try those.

I had cranked up the downforce that turned out to cause a lot of it, so I backed it way down. I also turned down the wheel sensitivity and that helped. Overall though I've just accepted that it's something I'll have to deal with when driving that car.

Maybe I'm not as hardcore as some of you guys, but there is no way in hell I'm going to drive that thing for 4 hours on the ring. I'm not really a fan of driving those super fast cars anyway, much less for that long. I'm a total pansy when it comes to that car and I don't care. My arms feel dead after fighting it around the track for 10 laps. It's no fun for me to drive, but handing it over to Bob is a different story. All my drivers can drive it like a lunatic.

I know I can feel the F2007 wiggle a bit but not as wild as the x2010. Maybe try going to steering wheel setup and change settings to "simulation" and if power assist is off turn it on and drop the force feedback a notch or two. I'm pretty certain it did help a bit. Plus if you have a driving rig with a race seat, try sitting back further and press your shoulders against the racing seat on the straight to relax your muscles. If everything else fail just unplug the power to your steering wheel;)

oh and raise your steering wheel. Notice most race cars have the steering wheel almost in the face of the driver. I think it was designed that way so that your upper body muscles help your arm and hands during intense racing.
