Xbox sucks :)
Hi everyone!

Maybe there's already a post for this question, but I have not found it.

So my question is: Will the g25/27 be compatible and supported in the GT5? I ask it because in the GT5 time trial demo this wheel is not supported. It works, but there is no option for the clutch (I know it is not the full game, just a demo, but I'm afraid a bit because I bought the g25 and build my cockpit just for the GT5, because I want a real simulator.) It would be very disapointing if this game would not support the H pattern shifter and the clutch.

Thanks,

GT5 Prologue supports the clutch on your G25.

I think G25/G27 will very likely fully work on GT5 but it won't be fully/officially supported. The Driving Force GT is the official game wheel.

I don't understand why the Force GT is the official wheel for this game, there is no clutch in it if I'm right. But the GT5 calls himself as : "the real racing simulator" Real drivers do not use clutch? :) in new supercars it is ok, because they're using sequential shifters, but what about older or slower cars?

I think the clutch was purposefully disabled in the GT5 TT to prevent users having any advantage over those who do not have the clutch (DS3, DFP, DFGT etc.) as you can go quicker with it (if driven properly!) due to the qucker shifts. A lot of the top times in GT5p TT's are set using the clutch and it is not allowed in most of the GTP sanctioned competitions for this reason. I am very confident that in the full version of GT5 it will work (crosses fingers!)

G27 is confirmed (pics from various gameing shows using the G27 with GT5)as for the
G25 It is reall simillar to the G27 so it will probably be confirmed as well.(not sure though)

No problem also I am buying a G25 myself this week.(if it didn't make it into the game I'll probably wind up dead :D)

Couldn't find one eh? Not surprising when you didn't do a search...

I just typed "G25 clutch GT5" into the search box at the top, and came up with these:

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/gtse..._8h5o&cof=FORID:11&q=g25+clutch+gt5&sa=Search

Your question is answered in the very first page of results. I'd have more respect for you if you just came out and said that you could not be bothered to search beforehand. At least that would have been honest.

I have a DFP so no clutch for me but now that there are wheels out there that do have the clutch I do not think it is fair that they disable it. It would give guys like me incentive to start saving up for a wheel with a clutch. Instead they just disable the feature all together, not cool.

Maybe You're right, maybe I tried to search on wrong place.

I don't know and I wonder what is the reason of your kindness, I think I have not hurt anyone with this post, but you.

Thanks for your comment,

Anyway, I apologize.

They only disabled the clutch in the time trial so that it was a level playing field for everyone. It is functional in Prologue so no doubt will be in GT5.

So now you both feel better about yourselves at the expense of somebody else, did either of you bother to report it?

Maybe someone should take their own advice?

 Forum gold!

Still feeling bitter about getting it handed to you, so you take this opportunity to try and hand it back?! LMFAO! I can imagine you reading every single one of my posts, just waiting for an opportunity...too funny. As a result, the dictionary just got a new definition for "saddo" - an individual who goes through post histories in an attempt to 1up somebody else on a forum just because they had it handed to them.

In that particular thread I did not report the post, I merely asked the question to see if either of you had reported it. So, in what capacity would I report this one given that I didn't bother before? "Do as I say, not as I do" and all that...

Not feeling bitter at all pal and I wouldn’t really class your previous post as “handing it to you”. I’m sorry to break it to you but I haven’t been following your posts, I just happen to have a memory that last more than 6 days! No doubt you’ll come up with some other abusive definition for that now.

You criticized myself and another member for pointing out a new thread wasn’t necessary as it had been discussed elsewhere and then suggested we should have reported it. In this thread you criticize the OP for exactly the same thing and then go on to accuse them of lying about searching the topic before starting the thread. Why wouldn’t you report this thread rather than making yourself feel better at someone else’s expense? Have you changed your view on this in the space of a week?

I’d have more respect for you if you just came out and said you didn’t take your own advice. At least that would have been honest.

Is that all you are capable of doing; taking what other people write and repeating it back at them? Pathetic. Equally pathetic is using hindsight to imply that you were not looking for an opportunity to repeat that piece of advice. Of course you were, otherwise you would not have bothered.

Still, having a go at me for not reporting the thread is a bit rich coming from you when you don't follow the same advice, said one hypocrite to another.

Instead of perpetuating this thread with off-topic verbiage any more than is necessary, drop me a PM when you can think for yourself and come up with something original. That is if you are man enough to not have the last say in this public thread...

How about the people who can't afford to put $300 down for a G25/27? They need a wheel that is accessible to people but can still provide a realistic experience.

It may be off topic but it is in relation to you criticizing the OP of this thread. Saying I should PM you and not respond here reminds me of the school ground phrase “bagsy no backs”. If you’ve got such high regard for forum rules then maybe you should have sent me a PM instead of replying here. You give good advice but you’re not very good at heeding it yourself.

If you read my post again you’ll see that it isn’t all copied and the parts that are mocking you are to highlight your double standards. At least you answered my question on why you didn’t just report it by admitting you’re a hypocrite. Of course so am I for not just reporting you so we’re both as bad as each other and should know better.
