While I was playing gt5, I jerked my wheel to the right to prevent the car from spinning out. Then after the wheel had straightened, it was tilted to the right. I tried unplugging and then plugging it back in, but it still was tilted to the right after It did it's normal spin.

I was thinking of opening it and try to fox the alighnment problem, since I don't have a warranty on the wheel anymore. I read that it was an easy fix but I'm not sure. Any help would be apretiated.

Thanks.

I've had this issue a couple of times yesterday, I just paused and plugged the wheel back in.

I've not had it on other games, be interesting to see if it does it on DIRT3, I suspect it's just that the game doesn't officially support the G27, unless I've missed something.

Does the T500RS and Fanatec GT3 RS have this problem? What about G25/DFGT?

You mean mis-alignment?
If it caused by the sensor, probably not. I just copy-pasted this from next thread

H.E.A.R.T Technology:
“H.E.A.R.T. HALLEFFECT ACCURATE TECHNOLOGY™” is the name of the new technology developed by Thrustmaster to reproduce movements made on a product in games. It relies on magnetic – and not mechanical – 3D (HallEffect) sensors, placed in different locations according to the product in question. The precision made possible by the use of this technology is significantly higher than that provided by standard technologies. Another advantage of this system: by eliminating all friction, it guarantees zero mechanical wear, for permanent precision that won’t decrease over time. The level of precision is also enhanced by the absence of any dead zones: even the slightest movement made by the player results in a reaction. Actions in games are therefore more linear, smoother and without any untimely jolts. A patent application has been filed for this technology.

Apart from that technology, there are some alignment problems i've read on T500 RS, but all of them because of firmware calibration. CMIIW pls.

I have no info on fanatec :) Never tried it, wish I could.

Yes, it is an easy fix, done it myself a while ago.

Just make sure you glue the little black encoder wheel exactly in the middle if the sensor or it won't calibrate.
