Hello. I got my G27 a few weeks back and have been experiencing a weird feeling issue with it. On GT6 and Grid Autosport the wheel's FFB shakes violently when going straight. After about 70 mph it starts to push 5 degrees left, then 5 degrees right, back and forth. If you hold onto the wheel tightly, very, you can keep it from moving, but if you were to let go the car will crash. It is almost like a tank slapper on a motorcycle. Same affect on numerous cars, using different setups, and different wheel settings. I've been researching this for days and can't determine if this is normal or the wheel is defective. It does not feel like the FFB is trying to relay the conditions, but rather the wheel having a problem being centered. I have the FFB set at 5 in GT6 and it is very nice and understandable everywhere but on straights. To be honest this is a really annoying issue and has me quite bummed after finally getting a wheel and stand. Most people have just blown off the questions saying that its the FFB and you are suppose to grasp the wheel tightly. Simply put, it seems strange to use more energy and concentration coming down the straight than through the esses at Suzuka. Is there a way to "calibrate" the wheel for GT6 other than just plugging it in and turning on the PS3? Any suggestions, input, similiar experiences, etc would be greatly appreciated. Thanks....

While it might not be the answer your looking for the behavior is completely normal. Its not ideal or realistic but it is what it is. GT5 had the same issue.

I appreciate the response. I know there are a lot of people using this wheel, so if its normal I will just get use to it. Do you enjoy the wheel and use it often? Are you able to run competitive times?

It doesn't take long to get use to. I used a g27 for about 2 years.

Just need to get used to it. Once you do, you won't even notice it.
Thanks for the responses. They took a huge weight off my shoulders thinking before that it was possibly defective. Can you be competitive time wise with a G27 or are the top guys using Fanatec and Thrustmasters?

You will be able to compete just fine with a G27. Some of the fastest sim racers in the world use a DFGT.

Doesn't make a difference.
