This is the problem, my G27 never keeps the true center of my car. when I start to race the wheel is in the center, but when I try to recover the car turning left or right the wheel never combat to the Original position. I thought at some point the wheel is not working well, I did try to play.

Gran Turismo 5, Dirt 2, Grid, Grid2.

And in all of them are working PERFECT! no problems at all.

it is new update for G27 in Gran Turismo 6 coming?????

Or Hiroshi Yamauchi want to push buy FANATEC wheel???? like the stupid card of gt6 credits.

NO More Microtransactions.

I guess I'm no the only one wiht the same problem.

Well my G27 isn't having an issue, so it's either limited to very specific models or there is something else wrong with your setup.

There is nothing to update for a wheel that works well. The problem seems to be only your wheel.
My G27 is working propperly, I have a new version (in the new box) though. Your wheel looks quite use so I guess you have the old version (pre 2013 or something).
Have you put it directly on the USB port without a hub? Try the other USB port. If you play another game NOW, does it work then?

Changed my post before you awnsered. It could be the model but first make sure your PS3 and GT6 are fully updated. Try a different USB port, make sure the DS3 is put to "controller 2" (hold PS3 button and select controller settings.)

the wheel work in any of the USB port but is just doing this on GT6. my wheel is 2010.

So it's the old model. I don't know what has changed exactly. I had the same problem when I played GT5 when my DFGT broke down. So strange you have the same problem only in GT6. It seems like a hardware failure but it probably can't be, since you don't experience the same in other games. Strange problem, could be a software problem.

Are there more people on GTP having the same problem with the old model?

Which model and driver you have?
I have the new model. I bought it in June. I also have the new box design. I think this number: 941-000092
I haven't installed a driver on my ps3 as far as I know.

we have same model! driver and profile 5.10.127 you?

Lol, GT6 don't use center spring option from wheel, that's why not returning to center, you have to steer. :)

Strange: My G27 does do that return to the middle, as I said it seems to be working properly.

Maybe you found the solution for the TS?

My wheel Always callibrate when I start the game. When I'm in a turn and press start, the wheel will go to the center again. When I race again it will go to spot where it needs to be.

When active steering is disabled wheel isn't returning to center by default, neither on driving. Is car is moving and you have 0 TOE or negative toe on front it won't return to center, instead if you have positive toe on front it slowly return to center when going forward. Also cambers are counted, behavior anyhow is similar to real car wheel movements.

Mine did that once in GT5. I think I exited GT5, unplugged the wheel from the wall and USB and I may have powered off the PS3 and tried it again.

I did notice yesterday that my G27 calibrated twice when starting GT6. And right before an online race starts the wheel will wiggle back and forth a tiny bit for a second or so. It never did that in GT5.

My wheel is 2 1/2 years old and hasn't been plugged into a computer for over a year or so. It probably has the original firmware.

My Wheel is DFGT and i have other problem: R1/L1 buttons don't work in menus. So, for example when i want to paint the car, i cannot rotate it by these buttons :(
The same buttons work on dualshock...
Weird...

See this old thread (and watch the video): https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/can-i-buy-replacement-logitech-g27-parts.241889/

Nothing to do with the game, it's a cracked or loose encoder wheel, very common on the G27's. Mine did the same thing in GT5, would calibrate, work fine, but after a vigorous lap, it would be cocked to the side but still function otherwise. Threw the new encoder wheel in, and it works better than ever.

In the mean time, you can pause, unplug the USB, and plug it back in. It'll re-calibrate and re-center, but will lose center pretty quickly.

Change wheel to 1st controller and those work all-time, GT6 sometimes lets you use those even wheel is 2nd controller, this can be considered as bug or feature as PD might do.

Any ideas for the same problem on a G27? I am 100% sure its assigned as 1st player.

I also have the same problem, definitely 1st controller as in 2nd controller I use my DS3. Very annoying though.

This can be reason, but when this happens steering goes also on game weird, like going straight you have to keep wheel pointing somewhere else than straight.

8 of 10 there are only loosen screw of that optical reader unit. There is two screws for that unit and they loose often.

My wheel is not only first controller, it's the SINGLE controller.

Your wheel is screwed. It happened to my first G27, and it will need to be RMA'd. If you're handy you could fix it yourself, but you will void any warrenty.
