Hi there,
i've just bought a g27, and I had a driving force gt before. Now I feel the brake pedal is very hard. I tried to setup it with logitech dvd, by changing the pedal sensibilty and the range of it. I load the game and it works fine, until I press the pedal a litle bit more and the range stucks there. So if I smash the pedal to the floor the range will be like default by then.
Any solutions for this?:S

thanks anyway

I went from a DFGT to a G27 and I like the difference in the brake pedal. I never hooked it up to a pc and did what you had done. The brake pedal is harder to press because it has a way stiffer spring.

The brake pedal is suppose to be stiffer, that you get a better feel for how hard you are braking that's how it is in real cars, but if it's too stiff then I guess you do have a problem

G27 is a LONG way short of simulating a real car but closer than many, especially arcade type controller's.
Now my advice is to get the feel of how the pedal reacts to the pressure and your input on a regular family sedan. You will be surprised just how firm it really is.
So to give better feel to your Brake pedal remove the top cover from the Pedal unit with a Philips screwdriver and then the brake Pedal assembly from the Base CAUTION there are wires conneted to the Brake POT, these need to be unclipped from the Pot.
Use a 4 mm Allen wrench to remove the brake spring housing from the pedal mechanism and then separate the two halves of the Spring retaining tube. Now drop a regular Eraser into the centre of the Spring and reassemble.
In the Logitech Profiler adjust the range and sensitivity carefully and you'll get to sa poinyt where there is a soft "deadish zone at the top and then the pedal gets hard as you start braking, with fine tuning you will find this approximates as closely as you can for $1 and some time how a standard car feels.
