G27 sticking pedals,any advice?

Hey guys,not sure where the search bar has disappeared to (can't find it here) so forgive me if this has been asked before.
Ok main topic is my Logitech G27 seems to have intermittent throttle or brake sticking,like ~10% and it makes the car understeer into turns and slow down on straights.
It is very frustrating to say the least,any advice?
 
What you need to do is once you start a race (or free run) push the brake pedal and throttle all the way down, this way the game can read full range of the pedals and calibrate it correctly (may want to do it a couple of times), then restart your race (or free run) and it should be all good.👍
 
Will try pushing both pedals down as described.
Oh and Baron,how do you lube the pedals?What kind of oil should I use?

I saw this thing where this guy hooked a bungy cord under the pedal to solve the sticking.


Just make sure to lube the shaft though.

Quick fix, but it did happen to me with the G27. If you haven't already check the line into the wheel from the pedals, make sure it is connected properly. It did happen to me where it was hanging half our and the brake pedal kept "sticking," but it really was just a poor connection.
 
if you remove the plastic shroud and mounted them on a cockpit, the pot simply need to be turn a little in the direction it will move.
Mine did that also, and when looking for any loose part on my setup, I discovered that the pot had turn juste enough to give the game a ~10% throttle
 
Thanks for the feedback guys,now that y'all mention it the way my pedals move aren't smooth.
And Masterfocus could I have your rig please?:p Wish I could afford one. That said it is christmas soon... :)
 
You shouldnt use petroleum based products on plastic. It will make the plastic brittle. Use a sythetic based lube. More likely the problem is dirt though try spraying eletronics cleaner on the pots.

You should never spray WD-40 on plastic parts it will make them stick even more. It is a petroleum based product that isn't recommended for plastic parts. I use 100% silicone spray that is recommended for plastic.
 
White grease or silicon spray would do the trick, as mentioned before WD-40 is more corrosive to plastic and should't be used
 
No dice,the pedals are ALOT smoother in their operation now but the brake especially still sticks every now and then.
Do I have to dismantle the pedals and look?(last resort)

I must have been lucky, 4 months later the brake pedal is still nice and smooth :)

edited to add,looked on the wd 40 web site and its safe to use on plastic.

Are the G27's pedals all break-beam triggers? Maybe a dirty sensor lens... anyhow I'd complain to Logitech personally (I made sure to store the reciept and box). $300... there is no way I'd be ok with sticking pedals under a year old.
 
potentiometers can become faulty also,if in warranty send back,if out of warranty email logitech there customer service is great,a friend had a faulty wheel out of warranty and they gave him 50% discount of a new one.
 
I would use gun oil. Gun oil is designed to be non-corrosive and not to gum up.

This will fix your problem. Same thing happened to me and many others.
Remove your pedal from the housing (if need be) and you'll see a round metal piece on the side with 3 cords in to it.
Rotate it (along with the bit the cords go in to) counter-clock wise slightly and secure it. I used duct tape.
Voila!
 
Is it the pedals or the game? Because my DFGT pedals would "stick", and all I did was unplug and plug back in the pedals and the problem was fixed
