G27 Support as DLC - Would You Pay?

The possible reasons that the G27 is not fully supported in GT5 have been discussed in great detail already (for example), and I'm not interested in that here. What I'm curious about is if users of the G27 wheel would pay for a patch (DLC) from PD to fully support the wheel, say 10$, or if that would just tick you off even more than the fact that it's not supported right now?

I, for one, would gladly kick in a few bucks to get my wheel supported.

No, would not pay for a DLC that will support my wheel, no other game requires that and PD HAS TO add full support for G27. I have spent 250 Euros just to buy 3 copies of this game and 350 Euros to buy the wheel. It will be extremely stupid if i will have to pay for the wheel to be supported. I respect PD for what they are doing and expect them to respect me back for my patience and my money...

I've a g27 with a playseat.. It has 2746346345 buttons and i can't use them!!!! If pd decide for a dlc, and The payment is The only solution i Will pay... The g27 doesn't work properly now....

The only paying PD wants from you G27 owners is for you's to go out and spend 500 bucks on a thrustmaster wheel!

No, I wouldn't pay - and I don't think we should give game companies the idea that users would be willing to pay money to unlock or add needed features like this.

No, i would not and i am extremely upset with the fact that they screwed the ones with a G27. I wonder how the sales are going with that $600 wheel they keep pushing. I hope it flops!

In the history of gaming no one never pay for a controler support (im pretty sure).

Why would anyone pay for that?!

yeah sorry but whats the problem? my 4 year old g25 works fine

I don't think Polyphony can put G27 support as DLC. It's possible if they got permission from logitech but most likely DLC for wheel support if just ridiculous.

I will feel very stupid but I would pay for it 👍

I also have G27 + Playseat, but features like reverse gear, clacson, handbrake, highlights, clutch, side views are unusable.

Whats a clacson?

All those other features do work, my only complaint is that the clutch is still a button to the game instead of an analog. I would love for it be like the brake and gas pedals instead of the straight shot to fully on or fully off! 💡

Define fully support?

I'm having trouble working out what exactly isnt working on my G27, all this time i've been using it to play GT5.

By fully supported do you mean having a more complex clutch? something that not even iRacing (supposed best/most realistic simulator) has pulled off. The clutch in iRacing feels exactly the same as the one in GT5, so by that logic what you're asking is for the game to not support your wheel, but to improve the functionality of a part of your wheel, beyond that of any other software available. If its not about the clutch, what are we talking about here?

As for reverse gear, it works fine for me, in flappy paddle mode you press the triangle positioned button on the G27, in H-shifter mode you put it in reverse. Handbrake.... what handbrake? there is no handbrake on the G27, and that falls down to a weakness in the hardware, just like every other wheel. If you're clever you can wire up your own handbrake to the circle button on the shifter.

How hard can it be for PD to add in the steering wheels in the settings LOGITECH G27 so we can configure it and the buttons? Dunno why we need to pay for this thing?!?

The DFGT is from LOGITECH, so why can't they get the trademarks and copyrights to add the G27 in the game?

In my other thread about a "C-Spec" (here) you can read this quote in the 5th paragraph down ~

The Japanese developer is also working on support for the popular, four-year-old Logitech G25 wheel and it's year-old G27 replacement

in this picture I took ~

I have a G25 and am happy with the support it has by just using (I think) the Logitech DFGT as it's base as I get the use of everything (even a handbrake button on the wheel). Hopefully they will patch in proper support for both the G25/G27 and other wheels if necessary.

I would pay 10 bucks if needed! Full support to G27/25 now!

i would happily pay, better than nothing imo

I would not pay for this since the g25 and g27 were established wheels in prologue. Considering they are putting in more support for newer wheels just being released now just goes to show where Sony and Polyphony stand when in comes to their players.

Many of things PD do are beyond my mental capabilities, but this one really tops them. How do you pretend to be making the best driving game without supporting the best affordable and most used hardware for it?

P.P. Paying for this is the biggest insult PD could give it's customers.

Are you ****ing serious ? Pay to enable the support of controller ? Where are we going ?
And that controller (the G27) is supported by all the games on the market

No pay.
The wheel, pedals and shifter work just fine.

I would not pay. I just don't care (guess why;))

I would Pay if It Let Me Use It On My Xbox

Why do people even ask these questions?
PD knows that the amount of respect they'd lose by charging for something like that would outweigh the money made on selling it. I don't think EA would even stoop that low.

The either add support for the wheel(s) or they don't. Just because you'd drop $10 for it doesn't meant they'd be willing to add support for the wheel because of that.

I don't even have the wheel (or any) and I find this a pointless question. I wouldn't pay extra to make something I already have work properly. I'd expect them to either make it work properly for free or I'd take my business elsewhere. Simple as that.
