When using the Logitech G27 wheel with both of these game, I can start a race, run about a lap and a half and the wheel/ pedals/ shifter stop working and I run into the wall. Anyone have any advice?

I have the G27 and it does not do that to me at all. However, when starting a race, I might be in third gear, and then when I cross the starting line, it puts me in 6th. So I have to downshift quickly to third to get going again. And when doing licences, I have to go auto slush tranny since the 6th gear start usually will keep me from getting gold.

Check all of your connections. USB at console, as well as at the wheel. There's almost certainly something loose.

Make sure you have the wheel plugged into USB when starting the console, it does an initial calibration, and another at game startup.

If you don't find any loose connections, you might try plugging the wheel into the other USB port. The game will allow you to play with the wheel in either port, and it's possible there's something happening with your connection at that port.

Are you sure the outlet its plugged into has power? Is it calibrating when you start the console?

Are you sure no one is messing with the DS3 controller I presume you still have connected?

You can "backseat drive" with those while someone is using a G27. If it's buttons-down on the couch, under the dog, or in someone's hands, that's probably the issue.

You should be able to download updated firmware using a PC. I would start with that, just to check it off the list.

Would also do as I mentioned above. Check your connections very carefully, and try using the alternate USB port.

As I recall, the connection from console to wheel housing is under the mount, and can become loose if you wrap too much cord around the holder that's under there. Suggest making sure it's plugged in firmly, then wrap any excess cord, while holding it plugged in, so it does not stretch away from the socket.

This is all from memory, I no longer have/use a G27 or G25. But I do recall having some of these issues at times, that related to the connections under the wheel housing.

That happens when you have a gear selected on your H-Shifter. In your case, it's 6th. Put it in neutral and it'll be fine.

Broke the entire thing down yesterday, one of the plugs under the wheel was 1/2 in. Works great now, thanks!
