G27 wheel? Need help

I just got the g27 wheel today started my first race and the wheel has a lag happening when i turn. It happens going laft and right and causes a jerking feeling. Am i just not used to it yet or are my settings wrong. Please help? I feel like it might not be tight or something.
 
What game? Did you put your TV to game mode?(without it, TVs can have large input lag)
Wheel also has small dead zone in the middle because it is gear driven.
 
Im playing gt5. I played with the wheel for couple hours and. It seems like the wheel is trying to simulate bumps in the road which causes the wheel to slip. But if i go past this slip zone which is 20-30 degrees in either direction there is no problem. As long as i get through this area quickly. Anyone else experience this?
 
Thank you guys i thought it broke but you guys were right and everythings good. Its so.much fun once you get it down. Racing online is way more fun

I have a DFGT and I don't feel this problem most of the time. The only time I do feel a slight lag in steering input is when I'm driving certain cars that carry a lot of weight on them, specifically speaking pick-up trucks and other heavy cars.
 
I think it just took some getting use to all though at first i thought it was all messed up but played with tunes and different cars an realize its simulating traction loss. I never knew that its just part of the ffb. Its so much fun i cant wait to get it set up in a cockpit.
