Today I got a G27 for Christmas. As soon as I got it I went on my PS3 to play GT6 (Which I got today, as well). So I get to the part where you first test drive the car and the pedals and shifter worked fine, but whenever I tried to steer the car, it wouldn't respond. The Shift indicator works, but turning the wheel doesn't. None of the wires are pinched and the power outlet in the wall is acting normal. I even tried it with GT5, but it still dudnt work. How do I fix this? Did I miss something?

I saw this once (laughs at own mistake :)), I had not plugged in the power supply properly... The reason everything else works is that it runs off the USB power, but the wheel itself requires the power supply.

What about the shift indicator? Does that run off of the power supply or does it run off of the USB?

Test wheel on a PC to make sure all buttons and everything else is working. Does the wheel "self turn" when you turn on the PS3. Which PS3 do you have the older "fatboys" you need to be in port #1. I believe they had an update so the wheel doesn't have to be controller #1 now.

It doesn't self turn on my PS3s start up. Port 1 is the left one right?

Tried again today and it still isn't working. I'm beginning to think that we need a new power cord. It was a refurbished one. We've tried to contact the seller on EBay, but he/she hasn't responded. Either it's the cord or we got a dud.

Well replacement power bricks can be had pretty cheaply on ebay if you go down that route.

My first thought is bad power supply as well. If you contact Logitech they often have pretty decently priced replacements, heck, on my old GT Force (GT3 era) I called to ask for a new PSU price and they replaced the whole wheel, no charge!

You can't say left port is the port no. One. Yes as default, but you can change it so in order to do so ( if you don't know ) you have to while playing, press and hold ps button on your dualshock and with buttons on wheel choose controller settings to no. 1 and try again. Try replace fusein the main plug, maybe when you've plugged in fuse blown up.
