you can, everytime you pause the game/restart or quit it resets though. do it while the car is moving =)
yeah but its not like I can dive into the first corner of a sport mode race driving with one hand while fiddling with the rotation and watching the lights flashing to see if its even going the right way

lol I know what you mean, eventually muscle memory will do the job unconsciously.

I do it during the countdown... When I remember doing it lol

The issue is sometimes, even for the same car, the default steering angle will vary - according to my experience (sport mode, TT, lobbies, Qualy, etc).

It's so stupid. The T300 has some issues that make the experience a bit unpleasant sometimes. The degree of rotation being one, the non linear throttle being other. Oh and then there's the lack of feedback for tire grip but I guess that affects everyone (T-GT users seem to have a better experience at least according to @MINKIHL ).

I'm betting at rotation change is still inside on G29 as it was on earlier G27 and G25 wheels.
Sorry at I still have G27 and haven't got hands on G29 to do voodoo on it
AFAIK it's still working on G29. On my G27 it does anyway, but except for the pedals both wheels are identical.
For anyone who's interested you change rotation on G25/G27/G29 by pressing both middle red buttons on the shifter, and while holding them down you choose rotation with the circular black buttons. You press bottom for 900°, right for 670°, left for 450°, and up for 240° of rotation. Works in GTS, DiRT, PC2, and AC, and pretty much any racing game I tried it.

Yes, that’s the biggest issue for me, really bad, I don’t understand why such an important feature isn’t implemented properly. Very often it ends in some try and error unless muscle memory gets it right. Do you think it’s something that still could be fixed with some patch/update? I mean they‘ve changed the Car Physics already, so theoretically it should be possible, although it would be a change effecting the hardware.

I have no idea if it's possible but it should be. It's something that would only improve GTS for the better for everyone, especially those who are less experienced because a decent tire model makes everything more intuitive and in the end the game becomes "easier" because it's closer to reality.

I hope PD addresses it soon.

Would be a brilliant intent for 2018 for Polyphonys’ game developers.

So you can change the rotation angle on all top wheels except the g29. If you anyone has contact to PD please inform them to add in game rotation adjustment, because currently its unfair that you can change the rotation on t-150/300/500/t-gt , csl elite, but not the Logitech g29.

It really plays a big difference in lap times and pace. its so unfair, why take that feature when we already had it in g27? :/

I'm a G29 user on GT Sport. I'm having to turn the wheel 180 degrees for a 90 degree turn which effects my laptime and races tremendously. I was introduced to the Logitech G29 software where I made some changes, however it didn't work on GT Sport. GT Sport overrides the Logitech software settings.

I wrote Logitech and they said that the software only works for PC games and interms of the wheel rotation issue, they have no answer yet as to why the wheel is doing it. I hope they find a solution or make a new wheel because I like Logitech

Well yeah, you can change the degrees of rotation but each car has a different max lock in the game. If you’re changing that then you’re ruining the sim aspect of the game. I have a T500 and have experimented with making the lock longer no the karts. It’s ok but I get a much better feel for what the kart is doing at default stetting.

I also use a G29 wheel; it is my first & only wheel.

For my comparison, on which 90° turn (course & turn number) did you record that 180° wheel displacement?

I use the G29. While I do think it would be nice to be able to adjust the steering ratio for some cars/tracks you do get used to it and I don't have problems setting respectable (ish) times.

Its also cheap by comparison to some of the other options. People seem to rave on about it being value for money and I'll take their word on it. I can afford more expensive wheels but if I'm only going to enjoy it fractionally more why should I spend double, triple or even 7 or 8 times as much for a wheel that gives better feel? That money could be spent elsewhere on things that give more bang for the buck.

When the G29 breaks down from overuse, which could be anytime now and it will have served me well, I'll shop around for a possible upgrade but not before then.

Doesnt the game change rotation depending on car ? For example Street cars have 900 and Race cars have 540. I havent driven enough steet cars to be sure though i am still pretty sure :p

It does, but every car seems to have its own stock setting for rotation. yIf toy change it you have to reset rotational changes you made every time you hit restart or start a new session.

We can't change rotation on the T300RS either.

well you can but it resets to default every time you change sessions or even pause

Yes we can, hold Mode and hit either left or right, you’ll get anywhere from 1-5 blinks of the light. I just found out about this recently though so I haven’t played with it a lot yet. It does seem it does seem to be helpful in faster car on tighter corners to have less rotation, you don’t physically need to turn the wheel as much, so you can do it faster.

The steering lock maximum is set by the game according to each car. There is no need to change it, get used to how each car feels. Your ruining part of the sim aspect by changing it. If you have a disability that means you are restricted in movement then yes I can see a case for making the adjustment.

As pointed out by Pigems, the rotation is changeable on a T300RS:

https://support.thrustmaster.com/en/kb/3132-en/

But, note this comment:
  • This tip will not function properly in some games (such as GRAN TURISMO®) which adjust or modify the angle of rotation at startup or at the restart of each race, according to the type of car being used
I've not tried it because it appears that the app will override whatever you've set it to at the start of a race......

For G29 changing rotation is here:

https://support.logi.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360023349273

It doesn't mention whether GTS overrides it or not, but seems it does!

Totally off topic:
I haven't played with my G29 for a while (few months I guess) and the feel of most cars is totally different then I remember (did they change the physics alot?), also I have the feeling they improved the input lag for the wheel as I have a little less trouble drifting now.
