Hi guys,

I own a Samsung Galaxy SII (GT-i9100T) and I love it except for the mediocre sound quality when I am listening to music through the headphone jack.
What settings should I use for the sound EQ to try and improve it?

Thanks,
Korza

My general rule for EQ settings - inverse bell curve.

Edit: Apparently I'm not the only one, and they saved me the trouble of explaining why/how.

I think you can use the voodoo mod (if you're rooted) to reduce the bottlenecks that Samsung place on the amplifier chip. Other than that, I'd recommend using a different music app with a 10 band EQ (Winamp for example).

And when you adjust the EQ, bear in mind the music you listen to. Classical won't sound better when you have the bass boosted, and most electronica will sound worse with prominent mids.

^depending on you output hardware, it can actually damage them (ear buds)

I find the 5.1 makes the problem worse.

If it helps, I am using the stock media player and I use Sony MDR-EX10LP in-ear headphones.

When I got the phone, I had the option to get Skullcandy custom headphones (in-ear). Those things have marvelous bass.
