There's been about 5 to 8 times so far, that when GT6, my TV (39'' LCD, 1080p, less than a year old) will go black, except a screen saying something like:

"The resolution, refresh rate, or (something else) signal from the input device is not supported. Please check settings of (blah) and (blah blah blah.)"

The only way to get out of it is to power down my console, and it does the "three beeps" reset. After a reset, usually loads up fine. It happens randomly, whether booting up and going straight to GT6, or if I was playing something else for a while and then switch to GT6.

This has NEVER happened with any other game of mine.

Anyone else having, and/or heard of this issue?

Some displays are timing sensitive. I have owned one. The standard signal your PS3 is sending isnt always static. One game might send out 1080p at 60hz and another might send out 1080p at 61hz or 59.998 hz. Some sets don't like this. The way to test this theory is to set your ps3 to 1080i or 720p. If it doesnt drop signal this will prove that the 1080p timing coming from GT6 is a little left or right of center. It may be a result of the ps3 stretching the 1280x1080 image being rendered by the game up to 1920x1080p. I lower refresh like 59 for example is one less frame a sec they have to display.
