If you look at the save file it tells you how many "Game-Days" you have playing GT5. I think it's somewhere else too. However, it's saying I've got over 1400 game days. How IS that possible??? We gettin' a patch to fix it?

For every A-Spec and B-Spec event you do, it counts as one Game Day.

The only exception is practice races, which I beleive don't count.

Every time there is a loading bar on screen or you keep repeating a race from the in-race menu then a GT LIFE day has passed.

I noticed this the other day. I saw it was at 1100+ playing days... which dumbfounded me for a moment.

"How many days? Wow! Doesn't time just fly..."

Then I came back around and realized the game hasn't even been out for a year yet

More than that - every time a track loads, a game day passes too. Every licence test (repeats without loading a new track are free), every special event (same), every seasonal event race (same), every online race and every offline race (repeats are another day).

What needs fixing?

It's actually every online room you join, not every race.

Our LAN says different - we only set the room up four times in three days of racing, but my gamesave advanced nearly 60 days, corresponding with the nearly 60 different races we did.

Oh, also, bye bye again.

Guess they did that to cycle the UCD. When you see it, it's like wait a minute the games only been out since November and there are only 365.25 days in a year.

I think the game may account for the travel to-n-fro races, as you would in real life.

So if you factor in that, a single race '"day" may become 3 or 4 "days". That would put each UCD refresh at 1-2 times per "week" :sly:

Not really. It's been like that in every GT game so far, even GT3 which had no used cars...

Largely it's always been the same kind of thing that constitutes "a day" - any time you turn a wheel on track or any session attempt at a Licence Test. I recall GT2 dropped the latter distinction, so that any single attempt at a Licence Test constituted a game day.

O.k. THATS our "Claim to Fame", game days. Instead of letting the A-spec, B-spec go beyond level 40; your badge of honor for playing the game is how many "Game Days" you've achieved!

and to make it clear, even practice races advances the UCD..much to my surprise when I thought I'd practice to insure a win...and instead lost the car to UCD being advanced :D
