Me too, but you get neat prizes for all Gold on License tests...not to mention that it WILL make you a better driver (so you can win more races)!

I don't argue with the logic - but I think that I'm doing okay as is right now. I have the game pretty much completed. (I'm finishing the F1 championship in between posts - this damn series takes a long time....):D

I must admit the first thing I did when I got the game was get the licenses - my poor girlfriend, at about 1.30am on the Sunday morning she hears from the spare room 'GO - GO - GO - AAAUUUGH F$%#ING PIECE OF S$%#....' as the GT One again just misses getting under the limit at Monaco.

I've found with all three GTs that it's generally better to get the licenses done, go racing, and then come back to the licenses at a later date, because you're more familiar with the corners and cars in the tests. I'm generally 0.5 to 1 second quicker pretty much straight off the bat.

I did notice that when I went back and tried to better my license tests I improved my launches, cornering etc.

LAUNCHES?!? Don't talk to me about launches!

I bought the GT3 wheel and had to re-learn how to launch cars!

300hp + full throttle + no TCS = huge burnout
 
What happens when you reach 100%? Anything?
 
What? launches are eeeaaaassy with the wheel, dude! I find it much easier to feather the throttle with my foot than my thumb. Too bad the wheel is crappy. :mad:

Yeah, I got it sussed now. A quick initial burst to get the wheels spinning, then ease the throttle back to let the traction catch up. Just a pain in the backside re-learning it.

I'm in the 90%-91% range myself. I've gotten about 70 cars and have all of the beginning, amateur, and rally done. I've got 2 or 3 full series to finish, along with two enduros to go. What was your most-used car and do you have settings for it?
 
not sure man i used loads of cars from the f1's to the 787 to the oreca viper and mostly the suby proto for rally mode a mixture really and as for set ups i just had a rythm back then set the autoset to match the longest straight for the course i was on but i had no idea's of set up's back then but now set ups are everywhere what car are you looking for a set up for coz there loads of set ups around just gotta look i suppose or i can give you my set up for a specific car at the moment but most of the time a set up will need altering for certain tracks so lots of details are available , just post specifics and i'll see what i can dig up for you ;) laters man

im currently on 85.6% with only 7 golds (i was gonna strat getting them but got stuck on B-8 and so give up)
also i was wondering what happens when you get 100%.

when i reached 100% i was given multiple cars including a couple of F1's and a few other cars for getting 100% for completing all levels gold and for the race you finish with , mines was the miata enduro and you get other bonus's also , sorry if i looked ignorant but obviously i overlooked these questions :rolleyes: anyway good luck in your quest for a clean sheet ;) just keep at it , it dont come easy but a great feeling when you reach your goal :cool: laters
