If you have never used a psn with your game save data then would it be possible to transfer the data to another ps3? I've read that game saves are tied to psn but if there is no psn then it might be possible.
Why not try it for yourself if you are interested? Create 2 new users on PS3, launch GT5 using one of those users, create a driver, then quit and move save to 2nd new user and check if a game will load this save.

It will allow you to copy the save game in non there or over write the current one. When start the game it will tell you that the data does not belong to the user and will delete and start from scratch. Hope that helps. I did it and yes the save game is tied to the user and psn account.
