Game Still Installing After FULL Installation

Hey guys,

I installed the whole game to my HD. I even checked again in the option menu after, and its fully installed it seems.

But during racing i still see 'installing...' pop up once in a while. Why is this?
 
I believe it is just a placeholder for "loading" or that it reads files from the hdd. Should be normal.

but i did the big install, which they say takes 50 minutes

OkeyD is saying that it installs extra things as you go. It probably has something to do with minimising the total install time - it adds what you need as you need it on top of the big install.

This. It's psychological warfare against long loading times. It's much better to say "saving" or "installing" instead.
 
What's happening is that the full install simply transfers the cars to the HDD in a big directory full of ZIP files. During the course of the game, each time you look at a car, the game takes the car out of the zip file, then deletes the file. Once looked at, it wouldn't need to happen again.

This is where you have understood it wrong.

You havent - you have installed only around 7GB of the game which is taken from the 50GB disc (not sure on the actual size of the 'whole' game - i'd imagine ~50GB)

Again its not a full game install just a large install to help the loading times and game run smoother.

The game apparently will keep installing things as you play as large install doesnt cover everything, once these little things are installed it all adds up to make your experience better - i'm sure someone said it will be around 10GB once everything is installed but depending if you go into every part of every corner of the game not everything may install.
 
I have a problem, any one know how to fix? Installs to about 1/4 of the bar then freezes. Any one got this? it says 3 mins remaining, it has been like this for about 5 or 6 hours and when I press circle nothing happens. their for cant play online :(
