Game won't start...

So after frequent freezes before I deleted and reinstalled all of the game data (for the second time), now it won't start. After all of the warnings about seizures and driving safely, the screen goes black and nothing happens.

Has this happened to anyone else? I really hope I don't have to delete and reinstall all of the game data again...

This game is really great.
 
Does it always happen? Sometimes happens? Occasionally happens?

Mine does this every once and awhile and after a restart its fine.
 
So I haven't played GT5 for about a month and a half now because the game ceases to work after the health warnings. Could this be caused by some error when the data was installed?

If so, I guess I can reinstall the data..again..for the third time.
 
Ok after deleting and reinstalling the game data 4 times, my gran turismo 5 still doesn't work. After the warning screens, it just goes black. I have tried using a friend's disc and it still will not work. I'm fairly certain it isn't my PS3's disc readers fault, for the rest of my games work just fine. I've missed a lot of events and just want to play, especially with the new corvette as dlc. If anyone has experienced this, I would appreciate any solutions.

If it only started to happen after the 2.10 update, then you're in the same boat as a few other users with this problem.
 
Well it happened just before, but if this is a bug resulting from the more recent 2.10 update, then perhaps there is hope.

In the mean time, I am probably going to open her up and take a q-tip to the lenses, as I'm sure that they're due for a cleaning.
