Not seen a thread about this particular topic yet so here goes.

At the moment I've separated tuned cars from non tuned/standard ones.
I remember getting swamped in F3 and my garage was a bit of a mess.

Ive got all the gift cars and I'm holding off buying more unless really needed
Tuned around only 5 of them as of late. Mostly in the last day or two.

Basically my garage is thus so far.

F tuned. E tuned. D tuned.

Rest are still in the generic garage. Until I can get around to tuning them or create a stock folder for those that are pretty meh. VW Toureg I'm looking at you. Might create a Fav tab for those cars kept as stock and are great fun. (Tuning whilst great does ruin the experience of some of the more unique handling motors).

Eventually when I own a Car empire I aim to buy replica cars for multiple tunes and segregate the garage further by drive train.
A bit of a way off is that.

Anyhow that's my plan for this Forza.
How is your garage organised? Do you bother? Do you care?
Replies please.

I like my garage organised but its such a pain using the filter all the time !

I usually try and tune all the cars up to the max in their current class to keep it tidy, I have about 200 cars at present and its such a chore scrolling through all my cars - I really wish they had the same feature that was in Forza 2 that they removed from 3 and is still missing from 4 where the triggers acted like a Home and End key would scrolling full left of your cars or right !

Bumpers fast forward to particular class though, right?
Still think it does.

They only scroll through about 5 or 6 cars at a time which still takes ages to go from F to R1 if you have 200+ cars.

Oh. I only use grid view mate. Cycles by class then.

Ahh, maybe I should try that !

Do you have to choose grid view each time you enter the garage or does it default?

No it comes up as the normal list view everytime.
When in grid view you can put cars into groups. Name the groups and put then in any particular order.

Excellent ! Now I know where I have been going wrong, I am definately going to give it a go!

Be surprised whats under the hood.
I had a problem tuning cars when using my Microsoft wheel for six freakin months. I was talking about it in a lobby and someone told me how to sort my issue.

Forza needs a manual the size of war and peace. Lol.

Yeah I find new things all the time and thanks to you another :)

By the way what was your tuning problem because I use a microsoft wheel too, havent got round to extreme tuning yet - I usually wait till I have collected most of the cars !

I make different car groups. Drifting AWD, Drifting RWD, Drag Racing AWD, Drag Racing RWD, Auction House cars, Design cars..... Then the rest go into their specific group. A , B , C, D.....

Oh when altering spring rates you use the DPad. It takes an absolute age.
I was mentioning this in party chat, when my mate who wasn't even playing Forza started laughing.

Turn the bloody wheel when adjusting and it speeds up.

Bet there's loads out there frustrated by that one lol.

Edit. Good call Camaro.

Ehhhhh, throw me in the dumb club. Tuning with my wheel just got a lot easier. :)

I... I never realized I could organize my garage however I wanted. Well then!

I suppose it could become a pain if I have numerous tunes for one particular car... but if it's cheap enough, I might as well just buy a few

I really need to organize my garage properly, at the minute my cars are just arranged by the PI rating from low to high!

How do you organize the garage?
Dosent it always go by the PI?

When on default list scroll left to grid view.
Select a car and scroll down to the hidden(lol) option to create a car group.
Name your car group and add it. Viola a new group is created.

Street (cars that tend to be more about power or appearance than setting lap records)
Drag
Ftuned
Etuned
Dtuned
Ctuned
Btuned
Atuned
Stuned
R3tuned

This way I can easily tell which cars I've done something with and which ones are just reward cars. Though I just finished going through my garage and modifying every non-race car.

I never realized this either! I'm SO going to organize now!

That sounds good - I might follow you with that idea!
This method also helps you get through your cars much faster because the way they are placed ito a grid system. So instead of clicking car after car through a horizontal row, you have an entire grid that shows at least I think 9 cars at a time per car class. So for example lets say you have 9 A class cars. It will shwo all 9 A class cars on the screen at once for you to pick from. Its also MUCH faster to get from F class to R1 class with the grid system. Check it out and you will see what I mean. :D

On FM3 I organized them into either manufacturer or country of origin. Haven't bothered yet on 4, but the garage is growing pretty unwieldy so it might be time.

Wow guess I'm another dummy who didn't know you could group cars...will have to give this a look later today. Very useful topic, thanks all you smart people!!! :D

I did not know that.

Thanks man,you're a life saver. :)

Neither did I know you could group cars, brilliant! My groups are roughly: RWDracers, FWDracers, AWDracers, Dragsters, Drifters. :) Makes it quite a lot easier to find the right car. And since I don't have that many cars per class in my groups, I remember which one is which.
